Unreliable rumours kicking about tonight that Celtic are close to agreeing a deal for Lennon Miller for £5.3 million rising to £6.5 million in January, with him being loaned back to Motherwell for the remainder of the season.

Good. Glad we aren't trying to be cheap as we'd miss out on him.

Outstanding talent. Was the stand out player at CS Jnr age group which has turned out a few professionals already. Because he played at a top team I got to see most of the best players across the country

The 3 best players were Lennon, Bailey Rice (Rangers) and Brandon Forbes (Norwich from Dundee Utd)

Something I'm more aware of with the emergence of player databases with stats that I believe their use is responsible for some of the seemingly baffling decisions clubs make? So, a 'pler' to you or I may not be the whole story.

I somewhat get it that if they believe a player is never going to meet the minimum athletic requirements of the top level then why keep and invest? They have the numbers for 10s of thousands so can chart trajectories and analyse by positional requirements.

As unfortunate as it is, an athlete will almost always win out against skill and I think this trend helps explain why we end up with teams of hammer throwers and very little skill and mavericks like Daizen Maeda over Mikey Johnston when push comes to shove.

It's something I thought about a lot from Silver jnr's year - Hickey is the standout output but at 16s he was barely getting 10minutes off the bench! Meteoric after he left. But his stats were always good, always at the top on beep. Athletic genes.

Miller looks like a top talent.

He is the real deal. The complete midfielder. Tall, athletic and strong. Good skill, good dead ball and the epitome of if you are good enough you are old enough
