I don't really give a shiiiiit about the diversity stuff you're moaning about but I don't really think the format of MotD needs changing - people sit down and watch it with their parents and it becomes a staple of their Saturday evenings and gets passed down through generations. I think that's fine as it is.
Even if I don't watch live I'd rather watch MotD on iPlayer than some highlights on YouTube

The most likely outcome will be rotating hosts. Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan, Asian person 1, Micah Richards laughing (cos Jermain Jenas was a weirdo). Don't think there will be a long term single host like before.
Just don't get too angry for no reason. Like when there was outrage at (false) claims that Alex Scott would be the next QOS host, then they chose a middle aged white man that had nothing to do with sport...and it got canceled after a couple of series.
Then it was Alex Scott replacing Jeff Stelling. Again, middle aged white man and failing compared to before.
How about just CALM DOWN??

Who would be your choice out of interest? Mark Chapman is ok but more of a Sunday night kind of guy when you want to wind down for work in the morning rather than have a few more beers.
Adrian Chiles? Jake Humphreys? Gary Neville? These are the straight, white, middle aged men options being touted. Not a great deal of talent there.
Is it just that we are not producing the level of talented straight, white, middle aged hosts that we once were? What do we need to do to change this?
Could we straighten out or whiten out a decent gay or black man to host if there are no other options? It's all about training really.

I think it should be Mark Chapman. Definitely not Jake Humphreys!
And I'm not saying it has to be a straight, white male at all. I'm saying it should be someone who is qualified to do the job. Gabby Logan is a decent shout.

I don't really think there is any decent candidate. Which will result in the same people who hated Gary Lineker for being woke, complaining that his replacement isn't him. Forgetting that they hated him.
It is why it is interesting to get the opinion of people who will be outraged by whoever is chosen, to see who they would choose now to be his replacement.
Mark Chapman about to get himself a lot of faux fans it seems.

I assumed that this was Barry until I saw Barry’s comments.
Buy some weed man.
Think they were lining up Jenas till he turned out to be a dirty dog. It should be Mark Chapman but I think he has refused to be part of a job share. I'm confident they will feck it up whoever they choose.

And he chose Troy Deeney to replace Garth Brooks, if you are right surely he would have picked Dolly Parton

I haven't watched MOTD for years. These days with social media you can pretty much see all goals a few seconds after they are scored and can watch compressed highlights as soon as game finishes.

Does anybody watch MOTD because Gary Lineker or indeed whoever is presenting it. Does anybody not watch MOTD2 on a Sunday because its not Gary Lineker? I dont often watch MOTD these days because I either have watched the game live on SkyTNT, or attended it live, or usually because I cant bear to watch my own team on it, when we lose, which is quite often. Like I cant bring myself to look at the League table when we are in the bottom half. I also dont watch MOTD on a Saturday much if my team plays on a Sunday. But if we won I would on a Sunday, no matter who presents it. The BBC have made a rod for their own back for decades paying Lineker £2 mill a year just to make him incredibly famous and wealtthy. That's what TVland is about for those who are in it.
