Dreadful game from two very mediocre sides.
Weather not to blame in the slightest, it was just a very poor game.
Can't complain, so long as we won our home games.
Next up for me is the trip to Leeds

Yes, and the pub quiz, naming Scottish teams with names beginning with "R". No one remembers Arbroath....🏴

I've rarely been as wet at a match but I'm slowly drying out with fish and chips in my belly so I've cheered up slightly.
What a dismal game. I thought Preston had more about them in their build-up play than we did but they had no sign of any cutting edge. As for ourselves...... I suppose the effort was there but retention of the ball was non-existent with most players being guilty of any number of unforced arrors.
We seemed very content to let the match drift into nothingness and made little attempt to impose our "game" (if we had one) on the opposition. Maybe the weather got in our heads and we thought it was one of those days when you scrap for a point and move on, but as Scouse says the conditions were actually good for football and we should have at least tried to seize the day.
0-0 would have flattered both teams today.

Well, that was grim eh...2 dour sides.
I think Warney picked a team to not get beaten...so, for me we were lacking in creativity but generally pretty solid.
It's not criticism because we are where we are as a club...so it's just as it is for now. I thought Brown looked out of his depth and needs a loan to L2 as soon as we can get a replacement. Jackson too i thought was quiet. Midfield and defence were generally OK but like I said it was at the expense of a strong forward line.
That said I thought Preston had some decent players and it seems they spent a bit in the last window.
NML too hardly got a kick when he came on, although Harness looked lively.
All in all, happy with a point but I feel we need 1 or 2 reinforcements in January if we're to progress.
Cheers. Terry in Spain 🇪🇸

Had more time to reflect.
1. Had hoped, with two up front, that we might emulate the performance away at Coventry but we were nowhere near that.
2. Did their goalie have one shot to save? No!
3. So what on earth is our best formation going to be if we are to be a threat other than at set pieces?
4. Even if we can sign a good CF in January, how is he to get goals if the forward-thinking quality round about him is so poor?
5. I still think we need to play four at the back with up front, NML out wide on the right and CBT out wide on the left. With Ozoh back in midfield as well we should carry a bit more of a threat but PW really does seem to have it in for CBT so much so that I wonder why he was so keen to sign him.
6. With the squad we have we should be able to play more as we did agin Brizzle provided we can keep Yates fit and/or get another CF in. Are we capable of consistently playing like that?

Mind boggling why a manager with 12 league titles across European leagues is rewarded with a 2 year extension. Absolutely crazy 😉
Chicago's point 5 - it is a concern. CBT was playing well and got hooked after 2 games and hasn't had a look in the side after that. Either it's an attitude thing that they're not liking following on from last season or he has an injury and protecting him.
Feels very much like a clash of personalities based on comments last season.

I did watch the Bundes league version as the clientele here is distinctly Teutonic. Have to say small Wonder Harry Kane can score for fun. The goal keeping is National league standard.

I don’t think there is much of a conspiracy around CBT not featuring lately. It seems as though Warne is playing it a bit safe with selection from the start and with his subs. In the Plymouth game he said he was very close to bringing on CBT but decided to put Osborn wide instead where to be fair he played well. Yesterday he could have been more adventurous but played NML centrally rather than going for it with 2 wingers for the last 15 minutes.
Maybe he is right. We have been eking out the away points recently after getting nothing earlier in the season. It’s not great to watch but getting a toehold in this division is vital.
For those in doubt about the quality of the game yesterday, watch the highlights. Yes, they were genuinely the best bits.
