Watched about half the documentary, was pretty dull.
Don't think I ever bought a copy, but the Nicola Charles one looks good.

Pinder is smashing the Saints manager now, she still looks feckin great.
I listened to a 15 minute interview with the ex editor on talk sport and they were hyping this up and talking about the old days.
At no point did the words scantily clad ladies, or words to that effect get mentioned, as if they were ashamed of it.
God, I loved the 90's
I look at the names in the OP and think how can that be 30 years ago????????

----------------------------------------------------------------------Yeah, the origins of the magazine were less to do with scantily clad ladies. They gave the impression they were forced down that path by FHM selling more. You can see in the covers how it changed quite drastically at some point.

Terryfying isn't it. Turn 50 next year. How the fack did that happen.
Its a shame not to have kept these.
Don't think my Natalie Imbruglia one would be worth much though tbh.
The shift between that era and this one is quite startling.,I mean gale porters ass on the Houses of Parliament to now.

Kathy Lloyd being 'lovely'
https://youtu.be/VgS3JVp-4hU?t=688
it does seem a bit cringe now.
The Kathy Lloyd one's interesting.
I look at that and think her personality has been modelled based on this idea that women are sweet little things whose purpose is to appeal to and please men.
Obviously with some women this was/is a deliberate choice to adopt this persona, but I just feel watching this that with Lloyd, it's just how she has been taught to believe how a woman should properly behave.
I'm sure that put her - or at least some others with a similar perspective - in situations where she was offering herself to men because she felt that's how she was supposed to act.
I think if you recognised that now, you would think she was a vulnerable person and at least think twice about taking advantage, and might want to try to help her to respect herself, rather than - or at least before - anything becoming physical.
Back then I'm not sure this would even have crossed your mind. You would just take that fine meat on offer.
Or is that more of an age thing than a culture thing?
the bit at 12.45 in that kathy lloyd interview
evans "you were watching yourself there and you said your hair's hideous"
lloyd "yeah I didn't have time to brush it" (oo err lads btw )
evans "and you said your voice is hideous"
lloyd (nods)
evans (incredibly patronisingly) "it's not, you're great, honestly"
lloyd (blushes coyly like a girl's supposed to do when a man says that)
then evans observes she's always putting her fingers in her mouth.
she says she's got really big teeth and she's subconcious about it and tries to cover them.
evans says, "would you like something else" (in your mouth)
christ almighty.
in fairness, maybe it would have seemed cringe then too, and you'd just think it's evans being a blelend.

I now we have gone full circle and these 'celebs' are just making an absolute fortune on only fans instead.
