Onana had a cracking game and is continuing to surprise me. Having a much much better second season.
Amad again showing us his quality.
Mazraoui been our best signing of the summer by far. Top quality addition.
Not a great deal else to be that excited by sadly from today. Yoro and Mainoo should hopefully add some quality to us and it would be excellent if we can keep Shaw fit.
Garnacho Rashford Hojlund and Zirkzee were all absolutely tragic. The attack just isn't good enough.

During the last five years, we changed everything: the managers, the coaching staff, the recruiting staff, the goal keeper, the defenders, the midfield, the wingers, the striker. We even have new owners. The only thing we haven’t tried is playing without Rashford and Bruno. It is time to bench these players for a few games.
Onana literally had nothing to do all season. Most of it was against Spurs in 0-3 defeat.
One thing that was evident today is that Rashford’s legs are gone.
Early Signs of Improvement
-----------
They certainly were early - all the signs of improvement came in the first three minutes of the game.
I actually thought today was our worst performance this season.๐ ten hag was let done by non-league level finishers. Just to think if we had converted at a similar late as SAF last title winning side, we would have scored like another 250 goals easily in all competitions under ten hag. Just show you how wasteful we have been.๐
I keep saying this, the day a manager says "I cannot win with this 350k per week players, I'll prefer to teach youngsters now because they will learn faster", that will be the real step to growth. It's what I'm waiting to see. At least he figured out Amad may be unbenchable first day in, ETH couldn't figure it out in almost 3 years.

I’ve thought for some time that he looks less explosive so it’s interesting that others are seeing this. Maybe there’s something in it.
It would certainly explain his dip in form - he doesn’t have a great deal to his game beyond pace and a powerful shot. When one of those things starts to go, there’s not a much to fall back on (compare to Giggs for example who ended up playing central midfield with creative vision & passing).
I'm not sure you can gauge much from 1 game, whether it be positives or negatives. But there's probably a lot more wrong than perhaps Amorim initially realised, but that's all part of the challenge which hopefully he can step up to. But Amorim will need until Christmas initially to see who is showing they are up to it and who isn't, and even then he will probably realise he won't be able to get rid of everyone that he would like to in the summer, so will need to focus on those who are a bit slower to learn.
The second half was better, but we created very little. Those things can’t be fixed in 1-3 training sessions though.

I don’t blame him for starting Rashford, he’s clearly a key figure in the dressing room, he had 3 full sessions to work with him as he wasn’t in international duty.
Remember Jose did this with Rooney then benched him after giving him a chance. This will be Ruben’s chance to say he isn’t getting what he wants out of a striker and he needs to fix up to get in the team.
OP...yep, just like when Ole took over๐คญ
Rashford needs sold and soon, while other big teams would still be willing to pay him well.
Those doors are sliding shut.
