I once won a copy of the Throbbing Gristle album "Greatest Hits" (ironic title) in a NME competition with my suggestion that a suitable occupation for Therese out of Dollar after the demise of that pop duo in the early 80s would for her to be cast as the girlfriend of Eddie Yates in Coronation Street.

True story that.

Michael le Vell is the only actor who could have been cast in Planet of the Apes completely devoid of make-up.

I went to school with a lad who we nicknamed "Galen". They could have been separated at birth. His mother once asked why we called him that. It is to our eternal credit that we didn't tell her the reason.
