The clubs in my opinion are just making a point of wanting a share of what the new T.V will bring into the game.
As for the 55%, I take it they are just approaching it the same as any union does when negotiations start.......as in the factory floor or building site, you ask for 9% and negotiate it down to 3 - 4 % by the end of the day the clubs will more then likely get a 15-20% increase which will be sustanable....that's my thoughts, but I'm no accountant by any means, I only worry if I've got some coin left at the end of the day for a nice quiet ale.....
