Winning the last two games has eased the pressure on Wolves and seen the return of some optimism. But it will take more than two wins to climb out of the relegation dogfight. The five games leading up to Christmas sees us play the four teams directly above us in the league and the one team directly below us. A great chance to take a big step in the right direction but the danger of a big step back into the mire for the club and the manager if it doesn’t go well.

Last week we got our best result of the season so far with Lemina and Toti as the centre backs. Will GON stick with that or bring back Dawson and/or Bueno to give a more regular defensive set up. An advantage of playing Lemina at the back is that it allows Andre back into the team who is far too good a player to sit on the bench. Think I would go with;

Sa
Bueno, Lemina, Toti
Semedo, Andre, Gomes, Ait Nouri
Bellegarde, Larsen, Cunha

Santi Bueno is our best centre back in my opinion. I think he has been underrated by the club and that's prevented him getting a run of games. He should come straight back in for me, but who for and how we set up I'll leave to GON.

Last week has given him a selection headache for sure.

Dawson shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting eleven. We need to move on from him I’m afraid.

In his press conference GON said that Bueno, Dawson, Sarabia, Johnstone and Lima are all fit now after recent injuries and illnesses.

When asked about Bournemouth he said they’re a team that get the ball forward quickly rather than play out of defence. And they press harder than any team in the Premier League. He expects a much more physical game than our recent matches.

He confidently said that Cunha will not leave Wolves in January.

Includes beers by Jennings and Ringwood and sadly by banks’s. And Banks’s Mild will be no more. Been an institution in Wolverhampton for decades

yes been in national press, Bombadier going too , Carlsberg insist they support cask ale and say they are the biggest producers

Southampton made a decent fist of their game against Brighton, a draw was fair

There's really no fuss too be had, it's just conveniently en route from the station and cheap enough for one of my tight ahsed mates to buy a round once a year. I'll be in there about 2 train permitting, I'll look out for the WO gear 😁

With the five games coming up it would be nice to think 7-10 points are on the board by the end of it.

As for tomorrow, wouldn't be upset to see Lemina at the back again. Would be harsh on Bueno a little perhaps though.

Some restless times in sleepy Shropshire during the week. TNS despite being based in Oswestry in England, qualified for Europe via the Welsh league. And they have been playing their home European games at Shrewsbury. This week they were at home to Djurgardens and 2,000 Swedish fans turned up, caused mayhem in the town centre then vandalised the ground with graffiti and tearing seats out.
