We might get some joy at Southampton as they seem to enjoy making daft errors in their own third even more so than we do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They’ve picked up a bit recently, give Liverpool a game, draw at Brighton, narrow loss yesterday - I know Chelsea battered them but generally they’ve been a bit better.
We should win, but I do have some visions of it all ending in the pizzing rain at St Mary’s after we fail to score

He has a good run of games now, Rangers, Southampton, United. Then a tough one against Liverpool although we won’t that last season. The Forest (beaten them every game since back in Prem) Wolves, Newcastle, and Tamworth.
Only Southampton, Rangers and Forest away in that. He either goes on a run or the fans will be absolutely faaaacking toxic after United knock us out the cup
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's no such thing as a good run for Ange. He could just as easily lose to Southampton and Rangers. It seems to me as if we're getting more consistent now....in terms of getting rubbish results. 1 win in 7. I fancy us to beat Southampton but could easily lose or drop points in the others.
I would say we're at a point where there's not really any reason that justifies keeping Ange. You could say he might win a cup but for me I think Mason has as much chance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I disagree with that, Ange has actually won cups, what’s Mason won - he didn’t win the League cup when parachuted into managing us in the final.
If they don’t sack Ange in the next couple of days then 3 wins on the bounce could buy him a lot more time given it would give us a very good chance of top 8 in the Europa, League cup semi and stop the rot in the league.
Ange not having a plan B is a major issue, but so is the quality of our squad - it’s poverty and he has ran them into the ground with plan A
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Winning cups in rubbish leagues though. I've not seen a great deal that's shown me he's destined to win a trophy here at Spurs. Underperformed in the cups last season when we had no European distraction. Lucky to not get knocked out against Coventry. Beat a City struggling with form. Nothing special in the Europa so far. Mason could probably repeat that.
3 wins on the bounce, as miraculous as that seems right now, would buy him until Liverpool in the next game, when we probably get beaten comfortably again, and then what?
I've given up hope of any sort of revival.

Now that I've actually watched the Chelsea match from end to end........I'm wondering if sacking Ange right now would lead to any better results.
Yes the guy is a unmovable, big headed, one trick pony.
But this depleted squad actually played very well against arguably the best team in the league.
The two penalties were the difference.
Bissouma's give away might have saved a goal anyway, I don't really know.
Sarr's was a right dumb ass unnecessary clumsy tackle. He should have known better and he wasn't saving a goal.
Take those two mistakes out of the game and it would have been a draw 3-3 or a win for us, 3-2.
Oh but then it can be countered argued that if Cucurella had been wearing the right boots from the get go, it would have been 1-3.
Either way, the team played well.
And if we sack Ange and put Mason in.....will it be any better?
I'm on the fence.
Arguments either way accepted.

Southampton must be licking their lips at the thought of Spurs visiting. Pretty well a nailed on loss. As is the Rangers match. Yes Scottish league is pub standard, but Spurs have no players with any minerals to cope with the red hot atmosphere at Ibrox.
As I said I am here nor there on Ange staying or going. But results will seal his fate. And he will be gone possibly at the end of the week.

I cannot argue with this Ted but, as I have said on a previous thread..or two, even with a fit Romero, VDV, Bents etc, we lost alot of games, didn't look great. Romero didn't/doesn't look to want to be here any longer and VDV's hammy's can't seem to cope with being the lynch pin to determine whether this system of Ange's works or not?
However, I would give him a chance until the end of the season with those that are injured back playing....when will that be now though?

Whatever we do, it’s another serious rebuild of the squad in the summer. We have 2 CBs who can’t stay fit and who seem to specialise at getting injured at the same time.
Son is finished at this level, I love him, but he can’t do it anymore.
3 major players that all need replacing. Romero could bring in decent money and we might get a nice bit of cash for Son also.
VDV - I love him and he is a great player, but that hamstring is only going to get worse. He can’t be the new Ledley King for us, that’s something we don’t need.
Beyond that, Werner is terrible, Richy can’t stay fit even when he doesn’t play, Reggie needs moving on, Spence either needs to be given a chance again or moved on. Ben Davies is very close to the end.
That’s 8 players, it’s another rebuild that will be completed with zero thought towards strategy. Can’t wait

The way we play and train will result in any player getting injured.
Another 3 lost yesterday, 1 last Thursday, will be more this Thursday.
Ange is just being stupid at this point... ease off a bit man before we actually won't be able to field an 11
