I think it was boots rather than studs albeit you cannot tell the precise length of the latter from TV. It might all just have been a face saving smokescreen for slipping - easier to blame equipment than yourself. Guys also have mental gymnastics about boots having superstitions and favourites.

See it a lot and I blame the warm ups largely dominated by sports scientists going through the same old same old 15m jogs and tiki-taka which in no way simulate match conditions.

It's good to see someone emerge from that disastrous 1st Boehly window as a decent signing.

Reminds me of Rudiger emerging as the solitary ray of light from the 17/18 window.

Have to say that i'm not criticising his performances lately, just to say that on another day those two slips would have cost us 3 points, which might be crucial at the end of the season !
