Success is not relative , especially in football.
=======
What a lot of tosh. Ipswich will have had a successful season if they stay up. Forest will have had a successful season if they get European football. Mental to suggest the likes of Ipswich and Forest have to win the league to be deemed successful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If Ipswich stay up and Forest gain European football, then they would have had good seasons.

But it is not successful. Lets not dilute success hey.

It is success. Ipswichs target is to stay up. If they do it is success!!!

If you run a marathon and set yourself a target time and beat it, it is a success - even though you are dressed as a rhino and finish 10 hours behind the winner!!

They say that, but if he loses the next 3 games he won’t make Jan.

This 3 game run is huge - 3 wins makes it very likely we finish top 8 of Europa and avoid the playoff round. Beating United puts us in the cup semi and Southampton away is a game he simply has to win, if we can’t win that then where can we win?

Iraola and Frank's football is too direct.

Potter is too Chelsea
----------------------------------------------------------------------
direct football is pretty good and effective when done right and isn't just long ball

wouldnt want Frank though tbf

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I don’t want Frank - Brentford are shiete away from home, even we beat them. He is another manager with just 1 way of playing and no plan B. He gets away with it as Brentford have virtually no media presence and their fans all support other clubs first and Brentford second bar a hard core 5,000 or so.

So if Ipswich stay up it is unsuccessful?

None of the above so not gonna vote.

Rival fans have to vote in order to see how Spurs fans are voting

How can anyone have any hope in a manager who won’t adapt? The guy has literally told us a thousand times he wont adapt.

IF his football was to ever work, he’d need backing like we’re chelsea or city. Again, we all know that aint the case so what is the point. Everyone knew the parameters ange would have to work in, and hes shown he cant do it. Not to mention his talent identification is questionable- werner twice and johnson for £45m being the glaring examples.

Ange has been given more time than any previous spurs manager in the last X years, considering how bad his form is. 19 defeats is an absolute joke how he is getting away with it.

And clearly still so many spurs fans being conned as evidenced by this thread.

A couple of questions of my own:

Does changing manager midseason somehow guarantee success?

Secondly, when is the last time that Spurs recruited a manager that then went on to be successful (other than Poch)?

Getting back on the manager merry go round mid season does not appeal to me personally. We need to stick with Ange, back him in the January window and see where it takes us this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch was not successful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Success is relative. Getting top 4 for 4 consecutive seasons, a title race, 86 point tally and a CL final is all success compared to what we've been used to.

Spurs, United and Liverpool are the best represented clubs in terms of fans on this site - Rangers and Celtic I think are the next 2. Your gonna get a lot of Spurs articles

Some just have entrenched views and won’t shift as they would consider it conceding the argument which they just cannot do for their own ego’s sake.

Deep down, they know

One #Tottenham player, whose identity is withheld to protect his position in the dressing room, simply believes the squad lacks depth and that further investment is needed to push towards the top of the table.

The players have given their support to Postecoglou on the record and that positive feeling is being reflected in off the record conversations with BBC Sport.

Would be great if they could reflect it on the pitch.

Doesn’t matter how much they like him if we don’t win games of football - it really is that simple

Don't get why some Spurs fans are turning on Ange. You all said when he came in you didn't care about the winning side of things and were just happy to be playing entertaining football.

What's changed?
