Utter rubbish.

Zero conviction tonight. The most winnable away game in Europe and we went for and achieved a draw.

Absolutely fuming

Pretty much my thoughts on it as well. A game that was there for the taking, if we’d had the bottle to put any sort of performance together … which we didn’t.

Villa going well tonight though, Ginger. We’d better get the job done at home to YB, because we’re getting pumped rotten at Villa Park.

WTF?!!! Checked the scores a minute ago and Villa were 3-1 up at Leipzig … now it’s 2-2?!! Sorry, Ginger.

No other take on it. Pretty much dominated the entire game and when the option was to have a go, we went sideways or backwards to be “safe”.

I was there and I don’t think I’m way out but we had so many breaks on the turn and created a maximum of two shots on target to the point where our entire support believed we’d lose a daft goal on the break.

A win tonight and we'd currently be sitting 11th

It was as poor a game as you will see. Kyogo's only chance of scoring was running around trying to catch a defender or goalie out which never happened as sure as hell none of his team mates were ever going to pass it to him.

Fortunately for him the Rangers defense tend to be more accommodating.

Aye we didn't even try hoofballing it for the last ten mins which was a bit disappointing to say the least, there was a lack of urgency there. Could've had the playoff spots sewn up tonight which would've given them a chance to ease up a bit this and next month which is traditionally when most teams pick up injuries.

Think too many of them were comfortable with the draw and saving themselves for Sunday.

Take Bernardo off and the midfield disappeared. Getting fed up with our record fee guy. FFS. Getting more out of McCowan than the Belgian.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I’ll bite.

The boy is a player who under daft fan pressure I think is trying too hard.

I’m in no way writing him off and we need to give him time to get used to our game and system.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah. Hopefully that's it. I just don't like the fee we had to pay.

posted 1 week, 1 day ago

Just a nothing performance tonight. Almost 70% possession against an out of form and injury-ravaged side, and had ONE shot on target … a 25 yard trundler from McCowan straight at the keeper. In the context of our abysmal record away in Europe, a point might seem OK, but tonight really was a game we should’ve been busting a gut to break that hoodoo. Disappointing lack of ambition, to put it mildly. Or maybe just lack of ability?

Special mention for Hatate BTW … a whole new level of giving the ball away, often under no pressure.

Oh and I still prefer Bernardo.

our fans have some really unrealistic expectations.

raging we didn't win last night, context - we didn't lose away from home in the champions league.

we have played 6 and lost one and that was to dortmund, and after the dortmund game everyone said we had to be more solid and we have been.

"shoulda went fur it" - maybe we do and maybe we get taken apart on the counter again.

never ceases to amaze me the outstanding arrogance of some supporters after being fvcking scudded the last few years.

Sorry but that last night was as clear an opportunity we would get to taking three points away from home in Europe and we didn’t take it.

What kind of team do we need to face to “go for it” away from home other than one that’s injury ravaged and their manager under so much pressure?

Every fan I met that was there recognised it for what it was. A missed opportunity with so much carelessness on the ball.

posted 6 days, 23 hours ago

It really was a missed opportunity against a team missing key players and low on confidence with no win in 5! How often, if ever again, will the bookies make us favourites to win away in the CL! Yes a draw would normally be a great result away from home but given the circumstances, I think we've shot ourselves in the foot here!

it was a chance mate but zagreb are only a point behind us in the table.

i'd say dropping points at home is a bigger missed opportunity than away.

we were sloppy on the night but i'm content with the point.

of the games out with dortmund we have conceded 3 goals and one was a ridiculous own goal.

thats progress mate, did anyone really think we were going to go from schite to amazing in a hurry?

Not raging we didn’t win. Raging we played like THAT, yet again, away in Europe. It was a frankly awful performance, on the back of a few less than convincing ones domestically. Hopefully we can actually play some football again on Sunday.

posted 6 days, 22 hours ago

i think we need to realise that the RB game was the anomaly here, not the standard.

we had a poor night and came away with the point, i'll take it.

i'll be more disappointed if we come away with less than 4 points having played brugge and YB at home.
