A repeat of last season would be absolutely fine, a nice comfortable 2-0 home win.
Back to reality, I doubt that will happen, just hope Villa’s post European wobble continues.
We certainly have the personnel to hurt them, especially with their ‘high line’ any of our wingers could certainly exploit that.
They are good going forward, but like us can be a touch wasteful in front of goal.
Mcginn and Yates will I am sure have a right old tussle, and thoroughly enjoy it, Yates can’t afford a booking or he will face a suspension, however, Mcginn is not one for rolling round on the floor.
Assuming we can produce some of our away form at home, I fancy us to win this one.
Certainly doubt it will be goalless and my best gestimate is a 2-1 Forest victory, continuing our march towards Europe (the last bit is slightly tongue in cheek).
The season so far has been pretty amazing, lets just keep it going.

Fair bit in our favour this afternoon. Villa tired and struggling for form; Forest fresh and high on confidence. I’d start Elanga for an extra bit of pace against their high defensive line.

Chat gpt predicting Forest win.
Match Prediction: Nottingham Forest vs Aston Villa
Probable Outcomes with Percentages:
Nottingham Forest Win: 45%
Strong home form, Chris Wood’s scoring streak, and Villa's away struggles tilt the advantage.
Draw: 30%
Villa’s resilience and Forest’s occasional defensive lapses could lead to a stalemate.
Aston Villa Win: 25%
Villa’s inconsistency after European matches and away defeats make this less likely.
Key Factors:
Forest’s momentum and home advantage.
Villa’s injury concerns and poor form following Champions League games.
Chris Wood’s history of late goals vs Villa.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-1 Aston Villa.

That follows my hunch that we should win by the odd goal.
On a high after the Man who win should provide extra energy during the last twenty minutes hopefully.

I’m actually pretty rubbish at predictions but I’ll certainly take that excellent result. What a comeback! Anderson was immense. This season just gets better and better

What a result. Heads could have dropped when Wood’s goal was disallowed but they kept going. Key moment.

"NEVER SAY DIE! Nottingham Forest, a goal down with 3 minutes to go, pulled off a stunning 2-1 victory over Aston Villa. Milenković (87' and Elanga (90'+3) turned the game around in dramatic fashion. What a night at The City Ground! 🔥 #NFFC #NeverSayDie #PremierLeague"

Nottingham Forest 2-1 Aston Villa
63' Duran’s header stuns Forest.
82' Wood scores, but VAR rules it out—despair.
87' Milenkovic’s header levels it—hope restored.
90+3' Elanga’s winner sends Forest from heartbreak to euphoria!
From disappointment to ecstasy. Forest soar to 4th! #NFFC #AVL

Fantastic performance, once we went one down. Upto that point it was a pretty dour game, with Anti-football Villa taking the lead, and basically sitting back to protect that lead. I was really disappointed with their approach, but it nearly worked for them.
We finished the game really strongly, excellent substitutions by Nuno changed the flow of the game, releasing MGW to actually do some damage.
It’s hard to say we deserved the win, but I certainly don’t think we should have lose, which wasn’t too far away.
This team has real character and fight throw in some great camaraderie and you have a team that fears little or nothing.
Having to pinch myself at the moment, but loving every minute of being a red fan, long may it continue.
The WFCG was absolutely buzzing at the end, again long may it continue.
Congrats to Nuno and the squad.

After 16 games, yes 16 games, we are sitting fourth in the premier league table, above Man City.
Ok it may well not last, but let’s just enjoy it for now.

Games until the International Break:
Brighton - W
Fulham (A) - D

Ipswich (A) - W
49 points (29 played)
The run-in:
