Of course this season would be more successful if we had 2 trophies and CL football
posted 4 hours, 54 minutes ago
Yes.
But... a worrying lack of development, even decline, despite spending decent money.
Success is relative.

Yeh I would take 2 domestic trophies over a valiant title challenge
posted 4 hours, 44 minutes ago
Yes it would be.
However, it would also be very disappointing to watch Liverpool or Chelsea lift the title the moment Man City happen to fall on their face.
We had to challenge them at their mighty best and to not take advantage of their fall will be a big big blow in my opinion.

If City win tomorrow, I wouldnt put it past them to be Liverpool closest title rivals come the end of the season

Think it's more complicated than just getting in a striker.
I doubt Arteta set up will allow a new striker to flourish

We need a goalscorer. It doesn't matter if he's an out and out striker or a clinical wide player. Apart from Saka the others lack cutting edge in front of goal.

We definitely won't be signing a striker in Jan

You could argue that Liverpool deserve to be in a position to take advantage of City’s drop off. Our points totals when finishing second to them were ridiculous.

Chris Wood would have you challenging this season.

Calling the League Cup Mickey Mouse because you don't win it is a bit harsh. Do you call the Champions League that?
