FT: Celtic 3-3 Rangers (5-4)

Rangers manager Phillipe Clement kicked off his media conference with the Vaclav Cerny penalty incident, saying he had received "hundreds of messages about it".

He says: "I don't know if you saw the images back, but my phone is overloaded with the penalty situation. I've had hundreds of messages about that decisive moment.
"The referee cannot see that moment, but he didn't get the VAR communication to come to the screen, which is weird for me.

"I cannot control this, but I know all of you like to dig deep into things so maybe it is a very important moment to dig into why there was no communication. It's a game-decisive moment."

Our performance today was good. Was always a big ask given our injuries and fact Celtic had two extra days rest.

Throw in a cheat in VAR and was an impossible task.

No thats not how var works.

Once ref gives the foul var checked if it was inside the box and decided it wasnt.

There is no cheating or any need to send the ref to a monitor to make a call. Var can overrule and give the pen without the ref looking at it.

It was checked and clearly outside the box.

Being the worst team sure feeeeels gooood

Playing Rangers in a final now is just like playing an Aberdeen or Hearts etc ie there is never really any doubt that if we turn up and play well then we will win, the only doubt is around whether we will play well ,today we didn't really but still had enough to get over the line .The other thing about playing them though is I still love beating them in whatever form they take 👍😀

The law states that if a foul starts outside the penalty area but continues into the penalty area, then a penalty kick is given

Scales starts holding Cerny outside the box, he is still holding him when Cerny's foot is on the line, which is deemed as inside the area

What I'm saying is exactly what you would all be saying if the show was on the other foot

VAR can overrule and not go down the review route if something is clear and obvious

I don't see how it can be clear and obvious when Cerny's foot is clearly on the line while he is being fouled.....so again, I feel this should have at the very least have went to an on field review....but it didn't

Whether Beaton gives it or not is a different story

Calmac probably telt him not to give it....was telling Beaton who to book all afternoon, wee vvank

Danilo's energy made a huge difference when he came on, change should have been far earlier

Classiic final but mostly becuase of horrendous defending from both teams.

Taylor had nightmare yet still scored to get us back in the game.
