There’s been one major mistake in recent years, and that was on Sunday. You might disagree with other decisions that might have historically gone your way in previous decades, but that sentiment that when you’re used to privilege, equality feels like oppression really resonates right now.
Rangers benefitted from Aberdeen not being giving a penalty in last season’s final. I don’t remember this hysteria, or calls for officials to be sacked etc then.
Mistakes happen. There were plenty of other decisions that went for rangers on Sunday that they benefited from-from being what seems as minor as completely innocuous contact being given as fouls to throw ins that clearly were not for rangers, right through to second yellow cards not being handed out.
This was a decision that was factually incorrect. Plenty of others both factual and subjective have gone for rangers, without much being said.
I’m just glad I’ve been saying all season about how poor the officiating has been.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Celtic were handed a league title on a silver platter because COVID stopped everything.....but were then allowed to play a Scottish Cup semi and final, to complete a quadruple treble....cause it wisnae fair that COVID stopped everything....at least they stopped short of just giving the trophy to the favourites like they did with the league.
But hiy.....Aberdeen never got a penalty
This is a tongue in cheek argument btw...just to point out how $hite your post is mate

It’s not tongue in cheek-it’s completely irrelevant. The title won when Covid shut everything down is nothing to do with refereeing decisions.
Aberdeen not getting a penalty in a final only one year ago when we had VAR is completely relevant, especially with the reaction from rangers fans to anyone that said it was.

A lot of grumbling about what used to be referred to as 'honest mistakes'.
All masking the fact that Rangers are genuinely rotten. That Proper is absolutely useless and you're lumbered with him. Jefte looks like a competition winner. Diomande just runs about kicking folk. The scale of downsizing is incredible.
Celtic were poor on Sunday and Rangers would probably have won if you'd be able to keep morelos, kent and Goldson.
Funny how easily Rangers fans are distracted from the real issues.

<As for the “penalty”; it’s been explained over and over that it seems Beaton was too keen to blow his whistle as soon as he saw the initial foul. You don’t carry on after that point and it’s really that simple.>
Blue on Blue.
Amazing how so many can't grasp a simple reality.
Soon as the offence is called the ball is out of play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wait.. what..? Do you mean as soon as the Referee blows his whistle, the ball is no longer in play, and play cannot continue? Remarkable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just reminding myself of the remarkable referee experts we have on this forum, seeing there’s a lot of new takes being posted
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How many 'new takes' have been posted. Don't think I've seen any that i haven't seen elsewhere
Also..are you saying that you need to be referee expert to express an opinion?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Since the penalty was proved to be a factual error, there’s been a lot of new none incidents raised by Celtic fans.
And no idea why you would allude to me having said that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was probably your use of the term 'remarkable referee experts'. I wasn't sure where you were going with it. I didn't see anyone claim to be an expert.
There were certainly a number of incidents in the game where the officials favoured Rangers. I'm not sure how you interpret them as being 'new'. They either happened in the 90 minutes or they didn't.
The only one that's a 'none incident' is the mcgregor free kick. The ball was rolling when he took it. The ref was right to order a re-take.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Remarkable was highlighting how the initial posts were completely incorrect. This isn’t a judgemental incident.
Yet after these initial nonsense takes on a factual incident, the experts are back out with more drivel. Celtic have benefited massively from referee and VAR mistakes in recent years, including two cup finals now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When do you suggest we draw the line in years when we look back at "injustices"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’d suggest when Rangers fans have made a documentary, getting input from ex players on how there is clear bias, building up that narrative of conspiracy to the point that the pendulum swings back the other way, so that we are also gifted a cup.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So not answering the question then

Yaaaaaasssss!!! I didn’t think we would see it on here-the ‘foul’ on Diomande!!! What foul?! He ran across the front of Kuhn and tripped. A foul?!? That’s immense!
As for the other part, I can’t read the ‘ref watch’ by Finlay Elder, whoever he is, but I’ve found this as part of it: ‘Ref Watch: Inconsistent Don Robertson, as Andrew Dallas on VAR fails to even review two penalties Aberdeen should have had against Rangers’ from that final.
Doesn’t look like he agrees, but I can’t read the article.

What was the referee watch view on Aberdeen incident last year? It’s a judgemental one where Duk is already falling before any contact… Daft point to try compare that to a factual error.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There wouldn’t have been any referee watch for this last year. Sky don’t have access.
And an error is an error. Aberdeen were still robbed of a penalty and an opportunity to equalise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Except it wasn’t an actual error, was never a penalty. Never recognised by anyone as an error. Very different to this one where every commentator, pundit, ref, SFA, farmer and the LGBTQ community agree it is an error.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In your opinion, it wasn’t recognised as an error. It wasn’t discussed because it didn’t happen to rangers.
The only people who said it wasn’t a penalty and shut down discussion were, of course, rangers fans.

"that sentiment that when you’re used to privilege, equality feels like oppression really resonates right now."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re probably laughing because you don’t understand the meaning. Or you can’t provide a reasonable argument.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know exactly what it means, and I'm laughing at what it says about the mentality
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rangers never moaned about referees for decades. Now though that they’re not getting decisions that go they’re way??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Complete tosh
We moan when there's something to moan about...that's it
Off the top of my head, Davie Robertson scored a goal against Celtic in 1995, when he was CLEARLY onside, yet it was disallowed for offside...it wasn't even up for debate, it was blatantly obvious
Plenty was made about that at the time...and some folk have still never forgotten about it
This was during the 9iar years
When things like this happen, what we don't do is spout the kind of privilege, equality and oppression pi$h that you've just come out with
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have never seen that incident mentioned or discussed on here by anyone. Also, why do your fans talk about ‘dignified silence’-the only set of fans to do so?!

No the ref watch in the press and journal agreed it wasn’t a penalty.
I could also sit here and post a long list of other incidents that were errors, even Celtics third goal where a foul on Diomande should have seen the goal ruled out by VAR.

Good news has come out of it. 2 Rangers supporting officials have been dropped

It's a version of the Great Replacement Theory.
Except they have been replaced.

Here btw, Willie Collum talking about poor refereeing decisions is rich to say that least
