absolutely !
City have had 4 titles on the bounce. The core of Pep's squad are still there and ageing i think that the combination of both killing City.
I definitely think that players tire of hearing the same voice and the older ones probably do not have the legs or the drive to deliver it. The WC players that have underpinned City's success now just cannot deliver and may be Pep's words don't make a difference anymore.
It's strange that Pep signed a new deal because it looks like the squad needs a pretty serious rebuild and that looks like it may take a bit of time.

He will spend his way out of this slump in the summer.
The hardest thing in football management is rebuilding a team.
City have lost the likes of Aguero, Alvarez, Sterling, Cancelo, Mahrez, Laporte, Zinchenko, Jesus, as well as KDB, Silva, Ederson, Gundagon all aging, Rodri being out for the season.
The truth is, outside of Haaland, they haven't recruited very well the past 3 seasons.
The likes of Doku. Nunes, Gvardiol, Savinho, Phillips are simply not at the level of the players they've replaced.

Indeed and the ability to spend your way out of trouble is not so easy when they will be rebuilding through the core of the team. It's not FIFA, you cannot just slot in great player A alongside great player B and know it will work perfectly.
Wouldn't be that surprised if Pep left in the summer. May not have the stomach for a rebuild that may not deliver instant results and even then can never beat what he's already achieved. Bit like Klopp really.
