If we can shift Timo then yes. If we’re lumbered with Werner until summer then it’s impossible.
Will be tough anyway as he is on £350k a week - unless United will cover a big part of that then we won’t go for it.
We have Hyuk, Moore, Odobert all competing for mins in Jan in the same position as Son and Werner - Rash ford would be even more competition for that.
posted 3 weeks, 4 days ago
On balance, I guess he’d be less of a waste of space than Werner, but that’s a particularly low bar. Can’t see many realistic options for Rashford, given his wages. Too high for Spurs surely?
posted 3 weeks, 4 days ago
and there is the ambition from Spurs fans, you need to buy players on the up with a hunger for the game and desire to win. Not pay extortionate amounts for a guy that is just picking up a wage every week now.

Be a good replacement for son if you can get him to be arrsed

We’ve got 3 young players waiting in the wings in that position - 1 is the most hyped academy players we have ever had in Mikey Moore.
We won’t be dropping £350k a week on Rashford to potentially curb their development.

Where have all these ridiculous rumours about Rashford being on £350k a week come from?
That’s just crazy money
Honestly the Internet is mental sometimes
He’s only on £325k a week
posted 3 weeks, 4 days ago
Rashford is 256 grand per week. His 350 per week is only in CL seasons.

Suspect United will have to cover some of his contract, that or have him training by himself for 3 more seasons on whatever ridiculous salary he is on
How much of it is his PR team I dont know but he does come across as a really down to earth guy, you'd think he grasp quite quickly he's not wanted there and wont be getting the same wage anywhere else.

I was thinking more as a striker than left wing, given Richie's injury record. But he can cover the front three positions
posted 3 weeks, 4 days ago
We won't cover anything for him to play for a rival club. Be amazed if we did. Chelsea are paying all of Sancho's wages and will have to give us £25m to make it permanent.
Ironically i think he'd suit Ange and Spurs a lot more than he does with Amorim's new system. Your quick and direct attacks / counter attacks are basically his main strength.
posted 3 weeks, 4 days ago
That would be a very Spursy signing. Picking up an expensive reject and structuring some kind of loan deal to make it affordable for Levy. Spurs need to be identifying promising talent while also targeting experienced players with experience and most importantly - leadership qualities. Rashford fits neither metric

I guarantee that spurs won’t have any interest in Rashford - any sane Spurs fan knows this
posted 3 weeks, 4 days ago
I wont be surprised if he ends up at Arsenal
If they got Sterling then Rashford would be the sort of loan/signing they would make

Sancho took a big wage cut to move to Chelsea. Players do it all the time. What Rashford is on at United isn’t the single defining factor in the likelihood of any given move.
He has three years left on his United deal. If he’s ready for a move (which wouldn’t surprise any United fan, I don’t think) and knows he’ll be on the sidelines under Amorim, there’s every chance he’ll be willing to take a pay cut to make what he deems to be the right move.

Spurs have a season average of 60% possession. Whilst we do break with Son or Johnston. We are far from a counter attacking team. Granted we do play in transitions. So of our matches are like basketball games.

Has nothing to do with being sane. Majority of sane Chelsea fans would not have wanted Sancho either, but he has been decent enough. It's not about if spurs would get him, it's asking for fans' opinions on him - very different conversations.

We can't afford to carry any other players who turn up when they want. If Rashford was good enough he'd have turned it around for himself by now. It'd be like having Dele back in the squad (the version towards the end of his Spurs career).

350k a week is too much. He's just not worth that.
And he's a busted flush. Seems like he thinks he's too good to put in the hard yards.
