I have always liked rrp and recognise that he brings a lot to the site with his excellent match threads.

However, i am still not at all happy about what happened with spurcat, and quite frankly think it is laughable if we are now all expected to write tributes to rrp to show our loyalty to him as if he has become some sort of ja606 god in the wake of spurcat’s departure.

With that in mind, i will add a little reprise of my understanding of what has happened in relation to this matter. my understanding of what happened with spurcat is this :

1. someone posted a thread thanking spurcat for his knowledgable insights.

2. the first few posters on the thread agreed saying what a valuable input spurcat provides.

3. rrp came on saying that there was nothing special about spurcat and all posters were equal.

4. spurcat comes onto the thread and provides some interesting information in response to a specific request from a poster.

5. a poster comes on and throws a flan at spurcat and says he doesnt know anything about goalkeeping. This was clearly a deliberate wum.

6. spurcat responds to the wum calling him sunshine.

7. rrp returned to the “spurcat” thread and accused spurcat of overeacting, adding a . Rrp has previously called spurcat a surfer on this thread which spurcat does not post on.

8. spurcat comments on the “drivel from rrp and his fellow school chums rammed down your throat...on this playground of a site”

9. posters added to the thread pleading with spurcat to stay on the site, and pointed out to others that spurcat isnt a and that he provides very valuable information.

10. messiah copies and pastes spurcat’s comment about us on to this thread.

11. i add a laugh smiley because i thought it was a funny comment by spurcat, and was looking forward to the ribbing which would likely follow when rrp returned to this thread (which i suspect was messiah’s intention on posting it on this thread).

12. kent called spurcat a surfer on this thread.

13. spurcat followed messiah on to this thread, saw the surfer comment and had a slanging match with messiah.

14. admin 1 bans spurcat.

15. a number of spurs posters state their support of spurcat on the spurcat thread

16. rrp comes onto the spurcat thread the next day and posts a long comment at the end of the argument about spurcat;s ban, which includes the following “Spurcat just what is your problem? You are supposed to be this all “wise and knowledgeable” person, yet you have the social skills of an infant.... God knows why people bow down to you and show you so much respect because you sure as hell don't show anyone ANY respect...everyone has a voice and I know it must hurt you that you’re not the “top dog” around here”.

17. people start congratulating rrp on his post as if it is some sort of dragon slaying act.

18. people continue to ingratiate themselves with rrp as if he has become the king of 606 with his brave slaying of spurcat.

19. posters who originally supported spurcat, change their tune and start supporting rrp for the role he is perceived to have had in spurcat’s demise.

That is the reason for my

JPB, firstly, good concise post on the events of the Spurcat incident.

Secondly, Spurcat and RRP arent polarised, you can like both of them without disespecting the other

Spurcat is a very knowledgable poster and i have said and still say his insight and opinion will be missed, people like me who dont claim to be experts gleaned a lot of information from his input.

The biography on RRP is tongue in cheek and doesnt at anytime point out what a hero he is, or refer in any way to the Spurcat thing - its intention is to be a bit of a giggle for those that see it that way.

the whole issue is lack of respect for other peoples opinion, by too many people on here - so my prattery should be taken as nothing more than a light hearted slice of pointlessness

thought RRP or TBOK would be involved..those pair of rascals
