Is the spurs game on sky tonight?

Saw some Claude von Stroke gigs there and he tore it apart! Erol Alkan is always a good night too

There's no doubting the influence it had, just wasn't to some people's taste
Me personally
The "p-i-s-s poor" sampling is about the actual tracks they chose to blaspheme.
---------------------------------------
All electronic music is based on sampling, it's ironic to call the thing that has driven the scene from day one as blasphemy.
This conversation cracks me up!
DeJong's say Erol goooood
RDBD says Erol is lord master of No Wave then will probably go on to name every mix he's ever made and how each one annoys/pleases him in different ways!
My knowledge only goes so far
EROL GOOOOOOOD
Aren't conversations based on derivatives though?
Person A says something. Person B acknowledges Person A's statement and adds to it!
It's how we learn (and also how debates get completely sidetracked and taken off topic )
Indeed
But the increasingly darker breaks-driven stuff (which led to D+B) probably caused the schism.
-----------------------------------------------------
DnB has moved on so much since those days. It has so many sub genres, half step tempo variation, minimal dub sounding soundscapes - it's probably the most diverse out of all the dance genres.
Those sub genres have some of the most amaizing artist working on compositions that are not dancefloor driven. The problem is that they don't surface from the underground so the whole stereotyped stigma about DnB remains.
It does amaze the RDBD that after all these yrs, both Happy Hardcore and D+B survive, when IMHO the original Ardcore is so much better in sound and variation.
It's not about that though unfortunately! It's about how the genre is accepted. Hardcore and DnB we're adopted by certain groups (generally just coming into there prime and this music was fresh to them).
It is in my opinion that the earlier Ardcore came in at the end of a generation of "clubbers" and when the newer, "fresher" sounds of hardcore and DnB came it was almost forgotten about!
I'm not one for the music talk
But like I said earlier I can't get too technical as my knowledge just won't allow it
I can only give you my opinion on what people were thinking around that time
