Flies have admitted the universe contains a substance which light can pass through but they cannot.

The hypothesis is based on countless hours of repeatedly smacking into every point where such a barrier is thought to exist.

Fly scientist Tom Booker said: “How could something be hard and see-through? It’s too mental.

“Fly wisdom had it that any barrier is only an illusion caused by not flying at it often enough.

“But after seeing hundreds, if not thousands, of close friends suddenly explode in what seemed to be mid-air, it’s time to accept that the ‘glassers’ among us are not just crackpots.”

The ‘glass theory’, which most flies admit they find impossible to even understand, follows last year’s claim that the wonderful sound of buzzing may act as an irritant to higher-dimensional beings.

Fly Nathan Muir said: “It’s utter nonsense. I’m just having a bit of trouble flying through this bit, that’s all.

“I’ll try this bit. No? Then this bit. Have I tried over here already?”

Tom Booker said: “There may be a way to instantly teleport from one side of the barrier to the other. I saw a film about that, I can’t remember the title but it was good.”

Jeremy Hunt will remain as Health Secretary because the prime minister is a misanthropic lunatic, it has been confirmed.

Theresa May said her loathing of Britain and its people was now so deep that she had no choice but to allow Mr Hunt to ‘finish the job’.

A source said: “Initially Theresa told him she wanted to move him to education and then he burst into tears. Then he got all angry and then he started crying again.

“Then the prime minister punched him in the throat and that seemed to calm him down.”

The source added: “But then she realised that keeping him in place would make everyone in the country incredibly unhappy and that made her giggle.

“She did warn him that if the NHS is still in existence this time next year, she will throw him into a pit full of rabid junior doctors.”

One THIRD of Disney’s upcoming Star Wars theme park will be complete cack in honour of the prequels.

Newly released concept art shows a large area devoted to hated characters and rides based on idiotic scenes from the films everyone wishes did not exist.

A Disney spokesman said: “Everything based on Episodes IV to IX will be excellent or at least very good, whereas the prequels bits will be craap and taint the whole experience for you.

“There will be a thrilling ride based on the speeder bike chase from Jedi, but also a really dull one where you sit in Qui-Gon Jinn’s submarine and see a big fish and that’s about it.

“You’ll need to eat while you’re there, so there’ll be restaurants based on Dexter Jettster’s stupid 1950s diner where you can grab a liver burger with Marmite fries.”

Disney ‘imagineer’ Tom Logan said: “I’m currently working on the ‘Naboo Tunnel of Love’ where you sit in a gondola and listen to an animatronic Anakin and Padme emotionlessly reciting excruciating dialogue for three hours.”

Which is a lot like reading the drivel about imaginary women thst J posts on the JA606 forum.

On the other side of the road was a woman in a car. Saw her face for a second but I know it's true love.

Theresa May has told the portrait of Margaret Thatcher that hangs in her living room that she was too kind-hearted.

May, who will be confirmed as prime minister later today, assured the oil painting that she will not make the same mistake of sparing her enemies.

She said: “Of course it was a different time, I understand that. The church was still powerful and belief in the sanctity of human life was regrettably widespread.

“I suppose that’s why you allowed Heseltine to survive, even though castrated, and why you reluctantly withdrew free school milk instead of your original plan to… change it.

“But still, your compassion was your biggest failing. Why have a nuclear deterrent and not use it on Liverpool? Why suffer Kinnock to live?

May added: “I won’t let sentimentality stay my hand, like you did. The parts of my brain that feel empathy were burned away long ago.

“We nuke Buenos Aires Friday.”

A smartphone game involving fantastical creatures in a real-world setting can be replicated with large quantities of hallucinogens, players have revealed.

Much as Pokemon Go superimposes monsters onto your phone’s camera display, ‘LSD Go’ projects the crazed imaginings of your drug-addled mind onto the world around you.

Enthusiast Tom Logan said: “It’s easy to play. You just take five tabs of acid or a massive bag of ‘shrooms then wander around looking for monsters. And believe me, you always find some.

“Gameplay is similar to Pokemon Go but instead of generic cartoon monsters you’re more likely to find, say, an undulating jellyfish tree with a sinister monkey thing floating inside it.

“Today I found a robot postbox that played music, a giant green bear pretending to be a field and a face in the wallpaper that was Tegan from Doctor Who. I’m not sure where that came from.”

Fellow player Nikki Hollis added: “Iain the talking kettle, the androids in the post office, the goblins who live in my teeth – I’ve just gotta catch ‘em all!”
