Ive not used the word methinks, since I had an argument lasting seversl days on the bbc website many years ago, with another spurs fan in which i rodiculed his usage of the word.

That said, methinks it's time to do a review of that pub in lyon.

I met two very nice ladies in this bar last night. We got on well and arranged to go another bar. Shortly before we were due to leave, the bar manager approached our table and appeared to attempt to communicate with the ladies. Immediately thereafter our conversation cooled, and the ladies prepared to leave. I tried to talk them round into sticking with our idea of going somewhere else together, and they were discussing it, when they again looked over my shoulder, apparently receiving some signal from the bar manager. Immediately the one lady seemed extremely worried, said very firmly that they would not go elsewhere with me, and her and her friend made a very fast exit from the bar. The bar manager declined to make eye contact with me thereafter.

The previous evening, I had met a young lady in the bar, and we teamed up together for the weekly pub quiz. We got on extremely well over the course of around 4 hours. Suddenly, after I returned from the toilets, she avoided me. She appeared angry, upset and somewhat scared, and did everything she could to get rid of me, and I never saw her again thereafter. Looking back, I assume that this was due to more handywork of the bar manager, who had greeted me coldly since I first went in the bar.

Quite why a bar manager should take it upon himself to interfere in the personal affairs of his clientelle, destroy one of his customers in the eyes of anyone he meets, and cause completely unwarranted alarm to those persons, as well as destroying 2 potentially wonderful friendships and ruin the holiday of one of his customers, I have no idea. I can only assume, that he has some kind of yearning to be a type of secret investigator, rather than a barman.

Aside from having my expensive holiday apparently ruined by the bar manager, I enjoyed the bar. It has a nice ambiance, a good selection of beers, and an excellent weekly quiz.

I have it 3 stars out of 5 by the way.

Hang on. Ive just spent 10 minutes watching a video of some bloke called Luke with tourettes on undatables.

I thought, well i dont really get it, because i havent got tourettes, but the guy seems pretty cool, so in some ways this comparison seems almost like so,e kind of back handed compliment.

Then i realised you were talking about some other (right ugly) spacker.

Ok, ive worked out what happened.

And it's so unfair.

It just cant keep happening. It's not possible. It's a curse.

She planned to go wih me.

When we were outside looking into each others eyes, with our faces almost touching, i could hqve kissed her.

Instead i asked and she said how about just be friends. When i said ok, and she said, "really ?????", i could have kissed her then. Any normal man would have kissed her.

When she asked me outside for a cigarette, ot was to have a kiss. But we got caught up chatting with the boyband lad's friend.

He went to leave and go to his friend, bit i asked him a question and we carried on talking with him. And his friend joined.

His friend was young, good looking, lived in lyon, and did the same science she did. They hit it off.

They offered to speak in english, but i said i couldnt contribute to the wcience discussion so id leave them to it. And i went back inside.

...

We started playing the game. His friend liked me and felt sorry for me. He kept saying it's ok, youre still winning. I hope you win.

But she got paired with him, and it was a very flirty game.

She stopped me being touchy feely with her, and she picked him, and when i went to the toilet, they agreed to meet at a party afterwards.

When i was left putside with her, she tried to set me up with another girl, but i didnt want her.

The other girl was trying to get rid of me at first, saying i wasnt wanted, but she explained what had happened to her, and then the other girl came on to me.

I had one last chance to talk to her, but when she talked about what i wanted to do with her, i said i just wanted to spend ,ore time togethor. And that sealed my fate, because she wouldve been very turned on after sll the touching we'd done, and she needed sxe.

So they went off to join the lads at the party.

The bar manager had seen bits of this. It was a busy night. He didnt approve of me touching her up,mbecause of our age/generation difference.

And when he saw us outside, he saw her trying to get rid of me, and he thought id been a pest.

So the next night, he warned the lebanese girls about what he thouht he's seen.

That is what happened.

Because that is what happened.

I missed my chance, with that beautiful girl.

And it just led to disaster.

And i could have had the week of my life, and a beautiful friend for life. And i lost her.

Because if been wknaing too much, and because i missed the chance to kiss her because im so out of practise, and because of the worst timing in the world and my curse.

And i told her it was my last night, so we couldnt meet again.

And i lost that beautiful, womderful girl. And i spent a fortune the next two nights on nothing. And i still have noone.
