I used to work in Sainsbury's during my teens...£60 a week...12 hours work
RDBD - £1.19 ...how much would that be these days though?
The worst part was, i was working there when i was 17 i think, and i was working with 18+19 year olds who were on £1 more an hour than me..its not much but it still hurt
£5 an hour after tax in your tenns is not to be sniffed at RRP

Bales - It was SO not worth it ...Worked Monday, Wednesday and Friday's, 5-9pm..straight from school...was knackered by the end of the day

Did Levy start with Tescos? Now that would explain a lot
To be fair i think every major Supermarket are notoriously bad for paying young workers, they know they can get away with murder on minimum pay
The guys i worked with made up for it though, used to nosh on sweets in the freezers

RDBD Not sure anyone got sacked during my time, but someone got a major slap on the hand for driving the cardboard carry machine thing around without having clearance for it

I was a delivery boy for a chemists used to go down after school and deliver nappies around to auld ones on my mountain bike
