"She was visited by a great Gambian doctor who brought his doctor father along 3 times to provide a second opinion.he personally took blood samples to the lab and had them tested while he waited, organised x Rays etc. and delivered medication to our door in the hotel.
I tried to get an early return home but the doctor said she was unfit to fly"

my old dear's got a lot of faults, but in some ways she's an amazing woman.

79 years old, a few thousand miles from home, and with pneumonia that left her with problems breathing, and this is how she describes her holiday,

"We still enjoyed our holiday the blue skies, the rolling breakers, the birds,the happy smiling faces and the lovely food, (even if I couldn't enjoy much of it) the colours bright and so cheerful. The monkeys the Gambia river and the Safari. We did so much in the time we were there. It was lovely."

Bit of both mate. After a busy December of socialising, things always quieten down in the New Year!

she's so unlucky. when I was living in abu dhabi, they came out for a week. she'd been so excited about this trip. flight out gets delayed 12 hours, including 6 hours sitting on the fackin runway. first I know about it's when I go to their room in the hotel in the morning, and she says they only got here an hour ago !! still full of beans.

that night I take them on a desert experience with a tour company. next morning she comes down with the most horrific food poisening (she was actually never the same again), and spend the week in bed with the doctor visiting every day.

still talks about how great abu dhabi was

Np. Got to look after the older generation. My Dad's 82 in a few weeks, had knee replacement surgery in Nov. Healing up well.

My mother was 50 when I was born. Which was a big gap.
