There’s growing concern with inappropriate reporting of Covid-19 deaths. There’s a lot of people here in the UK and New York whose deceased family members deaths are being reported as Covid-19 but had no symptoms and had passed tests but had died of things like cancer. It’s also being reported in NY that the hospitals are getting a sum of money for each C-19 casualty they have.

Thoughts?

Not to be rude but this was heavily reported a while back. We are in a weird place where every death when someone has Covid is reported as a Covid death, but loads of care homes etc deaths are getting underreported.

Won’t know the accuracy of the data until years from now but I think the ‘collect all under C19’ is the correct approach

Oh yeah I know, but it’s gaining traction. More people are sharing their stories on twitter etc. The thing is, people who don’t even have or had c-19 are being reported as casualties due to the virus.

The number is so inaccurate, deaths not being reported and deaths that aren’t c-19 related being reported. You can’t get a real view on how bad the thing is
