I've never really subscribed to the 'luck' thing in football. I thought Newcastle defended well and deserved the draw. Yeah Liverpool missed a couple that they will probably rue but that's football.

Really? I don’t think I could disagree more and it’s one of my favourite things about football is how big a role luck plays (high scoring games cancels luck out somewhat).
A scuffed or heavily deflected shot going in. A beach ball interference. A one in a million hit and hope finding the net. A lucky cup draw (Brentford yay), etc
The only way you can guarantee success is by performing at such a level that you compensate for the amount of luck/randomness in each game.
Salah had two massive chances, Firmino missed and open goal and there was the Schar clearing off the line incident. I thought Newcastle were poor and conceded a lot of high quality chances and didn’t really create - whereas when we played Liverpool we had 4 of the best 5 chances of the game and were unlucky not to win
Tbf I don’t believe there’s a such thing as ‘luck’.

Luck is definitely a thing

Yeah that's what I saw. None of which is luck. Fair enough, the beach ball incidents are pure chance and flukes that have no place in the game, but in general, no. I wouldn't put results down to luck. If you decide a goal line clearance or a striker missing a chance as good/bad luck where do you draw the line? It all becomes meaningless.
The way I see it, It's not 'unlucky' to draw to a goal you concede in the 90th minute (unless it hits a beach ball on the way in) it's unfortunate that your team didn't score 2 goals.
Scuffs etc are what you pay big money to avoid. The difference between a Bergwijn and a Jota may be 13m. That 13m will get you maybe 5 goals more per season. The difference between say Lloris and Hart may be 70k a week, and 10-15 points over a season.
Obviously quantifying everything would be extremely dull but I think the reverse - putting a lot of hard work and skill down to luck - debases the sport and all the dedication and time that's gone into every moment we see on the pitch.

Was Salah’s goal lucky or not?
I thought this point was really bad Phenom
16/17 - 27
17/18 - 25
18/19 - 33
19/20 - 20
Poch 4 year 15 games average points tally -> 26.25
Mourinho's FIRST full season with the bottom 2/3 to play
15 games -> 26 points.
