This so much. Saying Kane overperforms XG is meaningless if the context is everyone in the league. Of course he does.

Exactly the opposite - it’s a metric that proves how exceptional a finisher he is (which is he is - no player consistently overperforms xG like him)

Can’t believe we was only 5 points off top 4 in the end.

League quality hasn’t been great in the end - I’m more shocked that we just scraped above Arsenal considering at the start of December we were top and they were in the relegation battle

That second penalty yesterday really shouldn’t have been a foul

Us being top was just so false. Our performances were pretty bad and weren’t sustainable

I think it was an accurate reflection as to where the league was then, rather than where we were.

crazy i havent seen anyone say about it in the media, pundits etc when its Vardy doing what Kane does also. Bad when both players do it but only a song and dance is made when one of them does it
