I hope he remains an assistant and learns from the new manager (unless it's Martinez or someone). Anything he picks up will help.

Who would we get when Conte falls out with everyone?

This is it. I don't think he'll come without a guarantee that we're going to spend big.

Manager preference?

I was fully expecting City to win on Saturday and a huge wave of apathy set in as the continuous monotony that is football reaches its final form as the monopoly is completed. Then Chelsea somehow won it, and as I saw Mendy, Kai & Werner hug - the apathy still hit just the same.

As Blarmy said though, I look forward to KD joining the Warriors soon.

He's just another Mourinho albeit with a better chance of success and perhaps less boring football. But his caveats are the same - falls out with people and spends big to succeed.

Bit of a long winded answer but for ages it was Potter, but since Poch has become available I want ETH. With potter I saw a long term project - I basically think he is where Poch was when he first joined.

However with the heavy Poch rumours it made me realise how keen he really is to come back. As a result I don’t really want a manager who will take 4/5 years to kick in as I want Poch back in 3 years time. As a result we are left with Conte and ETH - the former would make much more sense had we just not gone for his type (and failed) with Mourinho. So I think I want ETH as he is already at a high level and can deliver on a shorter timescale but plays nice football & is inclusive at the same time. You?

Brilliant answer tbh

Think it’s to early for poch although I’d be happy with him.

I’m interested in a conte experiment but after Jose I’m not sure our fan base is

ETH I’ve been on since the very beginning and still would love him the most.

I think cos of Jose we’ve played that short term destructive token on the wrong guy unfortunately

Yes conte would’ve been better after poch.

I don't think it's the right time for Poch to come back but I do think he's the best option. We don't have the funds for Conte. ETH is a less experienced Poch. Bad in game management, only one way of playing.

posted on 30/5/21

Do you think Poch has only one way of playing?

ETH doesn’t have one way of playing. I’ve seen him use a super press and a more balanced style.

Also is he less experienced than poch? I say they are about the same level but ETH comes into the club without the baggage

No ten Hag. I'm going by what Ajax fans say on forums. His major weakness being reacting to in game changes by other managers

posted on 30/5/21

I'd say Poch has managed in Spain, the Premier League, and now France. Some of the biggest names and egos in football.

I like ETH. I'd definitely prefer him to the Potter, Parker and Martinez tier managers. But I do think we'd have a similar journey to when Poch started. We could skip that by hiring Poch back

See I don’t think we’ll skipp anything with poch as We have to remember how this squad stopped playing for poch Kane included.

Either manager comes in there’s going to be a big turn over in players

posted on 30/5/21

Yeah it's a fair point MK. I guess that is the appeal of going for a lower tier manager. Potter would be happy with whatever we gave him.

I'm thinking that this bunch needs clearing out though. What if the problem wasn't Poch but the players? Both Hugo and Kane have called out some of the squad for not caring.

Agree with that, but big to me is 4 out 4 in!

posted on 30/5/21

With Poch it'd be more like 6 out 3 in

With Conte it'd be £30m out £150m in

If Barca get Donnarumma, Garcia, Wijnaldum, Depay and Aguero without spending a penny... On the face of it that's an absolutely mad window.

If they can offload the likes of Griezmann and/or Dembele too, and in the process recoup £100m+ and £750k per week in wages...

Wages on those Coming in would be insane.

Donnarumma wants around £10 a year plus £20 agents fee
