Naughton is right-back cover, Smith looks good too, Vertonghen plays LB for Belgium.. we're sorted when Kab's is back.
Right wing i'll grant you but there's no change there, at least Dempsey will do a job there without sulking.

bales - we havent been without experiences cover in those positions for a long time.
we're now without cover or experiences cover in 4 positions. it's not a normal state of affairs.

weve lost modric and vdv as creative players, gio from the wing, rose from left back. surprised these guys have gone out.
hope smith and naughton are up to PL standard stright away if we get an injury, and gawd knows what well do when lennon breaks down or if something happens to dembele.
Naughton played well for Norwich last season, he won't be fazed. Rose could well flourish on loan but yeah, bit gutted we didn't hold on to Gio and get him to stay
Dempsey really can cover the wing no problem, probably better suited to the 4-2-3-1 than Lennon in fact. But yeah, without Moutinho we're light in the middle.

i havent given up singing livermore's praises, but im coming round to the idea that he's closer to a sandro replacement than someone who we would ideally want playing alongside sandro on a regular basis.
was naughton first choice for norwich last season ?
