Werner, Richy, Bentancur or Bissouma, Spence (if he isn’t gonna play), Forster I guess

Bring in a quality forward, some leadership in midfield and CB and left back, long term keeper ?

Hopefully a decent side can come in for Bergvall and give him lots of loan minutes in England and we can give Gray more time in midfield

Yeh I saw something on Bluesky about Cirkin. Don’t know how he profiles but that would be ideal.

3 of those i mentioned are foreign trained (4 if you include Son )

the non club trained but english players are more of an issue which highlights the difficult path from academy to first team

I started a post earlier but forgot to post it

I feel like for one reason or other, the likes of Forster, Romero, Davies, Son, Richarlison, Werner won't still be in the first XI/at the club within the next 18 months. That leaves the forward line particularly bare, so I'd say proper, quality, first team ready LW and RW are needed. Can't be relying on Brennan Johnson as the senior winger at the club.

Udogie badly needs natural competition for his place, and arguably so does Vicario, especially if he's out for a while. So that's two more first team players needed, not just cheap youth or backups.

And then Van de Ven needs a backup/competition option with a similar profile too.

So without even touching midfield - maybe Gray will develop into a reliable first teamer in that time frame? - that's 5 proper first-team quality players needed

We do underrate that our winger guy we identified for this season has barely played a New York minute

Let’s be honest, the Sarr not being club trained thing has completely facked us

If we are giving Davies a year extension you can forget about a new left defender.

I’m actually getting annoyed with people saying we should sell Romero and promote Dragusin as first choice because we have Vuskovic coming in.

IMO Vuskovic shouldn’t be seen at the club for 2/3 more seasons yet.

He’s best developed is to just stay away being first choice somewhere stepping up levels.

Next summer the following players probably should go

Davies, Forster, Bissouma/Bentancur, Werner & Richarlison

im not really, i just think for keeping the squad ticking over, not hanging on to players too long etc, theyre somewhat valuable?

they dont really seem to play together either and although he has some ok games there, Bentancur isnt a 6 for me

We really missed Romero more than anyone yesterday though, Dragusin is really bad at passing

i meant pre-scared but was already thinking about being scarred again

It’s a big step down but he would be the replacement if we sold Romero.

Thinking about it, Bentancur becoming a 6 has probably hurt him and us. Think about how effective we’d have been in some games with a trio of Bissouma-Bentancur - Kulu/madders

i was hoping Drag would cover either Romero or Vdv well but he is slow and bad on the ball

we needed another ball playing/quick CB, Davies has been decent but we need more than decent and 10 years is long for someone so boring

I’ve been saying that trio would be our best but I don’t think he sees either playing an 8

Sarr is pretty inconsistent too, if we play well he seems to be really effective but doesnt do anything when others are struggling
