Bissouma was good but we see that every 3 games or so. He’s just never consistent for us and still got his silly yellow card.

I mean, he's a good CB clearly. I don't think there's any disputing that. But to say he's better at that than midfield can't be qualified

Look up Gray's game against Chelsea last season. He was 17 and playing midfield. Held his own and more against two £100m midfielders.

And Hengy, he was better than anything we had in our youth academy at the time 👍🏻

Bissouma receives the ball so well, its something that fans dont pick up on as the nuances of his body position are hard to spot in real time.

32s, 59s & 1m07s good examples of this. It is what Eriksen & Modric were so good at.

I've always loved them tbf, reckon its been me and Mandy who have been the least negative over this barren spell (not that there is an issue to have doubts)

Also the context. Myself and Luka had just suggested not signing a CM to give Gray a chance there

I wasn't really having any discussion about his midfield ability, or if we should/shouldn't sign a midfielder which might block his pathway. I just highlighted a point that someone else made about his potential at CB - which I agreed with as he has a lot of traits that suggest he could be a top level CB.

Yeah he looks like he could be a long term CB option. My reservation is that if he could be a great no6 for us that's harder to find and more valuable than a centre back, where there's plenty to be had for less than he cost. Also, the longer he plays there and trains for that position the less suited he'll be to midfield. Like Dier, we risk him becoming great at nothing

Gray will play CM and at the end of his career he will play CB like Fernando Hierro.

It's a great problem to have tbf
