article title >> Peace Pact
Dear fellow Motorsport and F1 Fans
I propose a peace and respect pact for the good of the ongoing development of the motorsport section of the site.
I ask any F1 poster to enter into this pact with me in accordance with the ethos of this site as the home of "light weight sports discussion".
The pact can be on the following basis :
1. I am free to post my opinions on the board.
2. I am free to attempt to substantiate my opinions.
3. I am free to comment on other opinions expressed on the board, including providing evidence in support of them or any other relevant evidence.
4. In commenting on other opinions I have the right to state that I disagree with the opinion, and - if I choose - to state why I disagree with it.
5. I abide not to insult other posters, even if they express a different opinion to myself.
6. I abide not to be derisory of other posters or their stated opinions, or to state or imply that my opinion is of more significance of the other opinion because it is my opinion.
7. I abide to express my genuine opinion and not to 'team up' with other posters regardless of what i actually think of their stated opinion.
8. I abide not to state or imply that other posters must be "new to F1", and abide not to suggest that they learn something about F1 before commenting, or similar.
9. Any alleged deviations frmo the pact, should be pasted on to this thread for review and feedback.
Arsenal conceded 5 to Reading, Spurs lost to Norwich and Peedy and co are off wumming the F1 board. Not much else to talk about it seems
additional point 9
9. I recognise that this board is not the fan site of any one particular driver, and that objective comments regarding all teams and drivers are welcome.
it's not wumming spurgle, it's anti-wumming.
would you object to the proposed pact ? if so, on what grounds ?
I was out for halloween last night. Dressed as an army guy so I could get my beater on and show my world class pythons
Why would you need a "pact" if you weren't wumming?
petey - do you have any comments on the proposed pact ?
Well....there was a missile.....and something definitely got 'pact'
"this site as the home of "light weight sports discussion".

Is the use of "light weight" intended to reflect the level of discussion or the capabilities of the poster?
sorry mate, ive got a terrible internet signal in my room.
now come down to the lobby.

I did wonder that, but I suspect that it is supposed to impart connotations of joviality and positivity
Light the blue touch paper and stand well back........
how do you mean spurgle ?
i honestly dont understand why he doesnt want that approach to be taken, when it's the approach which is enforced on all other boards.

it might have been the bit at the top about what the board's been like over the last 18 months.
admin can we post it again without that bit, and just the pact part ?

No Brayns, I genuinely don't want you involved in any bits of our site(I can just about handle you on the spurs board) let alone trying to fix/defuse our motorsport boards. STAY WELL AWAY!
petey - do you reckon it's worth you posting it without the bit at the top ? or should we wait for feedback ? i want to post the article, but dont want to get banned.
