Don't worry to much,if you win your appeal the sew your hand back on.
why would they set up their highest fee earner for a fall though ?
In the UK, that is an executive directors' responsibility
=================
i thought he said executive
so you can be executive and non-equity then ?
he said attend board meetings as well
hardly a burden
But if my services have NOTHING to do with the corporate governance of the client (directorships etc) , WTF would I go thru what you have mentioned to date as part of my day job ??
===============
i dont follow ?
it's not a case of my activity being related to the corproate governance of my clients that's relevant is it ? it's to do with my activity being related to the corporate governance of my employer isnt it.
i can see why they they would want me involved in the governance of the firm.
a what function ?
from what i understand of the corporate element of the role, it is this :
1. non equity
2. exclusions written in to avoid liability
3. attend board meetings
4. maybe sign off the accounts (to be done by the chief exec plus one other director).
Is your day job not to do with insurance claims/settlements in a particular industry sector ??
===============
no basically.
i am a fee earning consulting. i (theoretically) head a division of fee earning consultants. i also advise on the running of the company and am responsible for advising on how it protects its financial interests in the consultancy roles which it undertakes.
