I can speak in any number of accents in complete comfort.

I could speak any of the following for a whole day with no problem :

-Glaswegian
-irish
-Yorkshire
-Birmingham
-cornwall
-London
-south African
-Australian

I also do very good indian, French and Italian accents.

I once spoke in a south African accent for a whole week.

I went to a posh school - the oldest boys school in the world according to some.

Growing up I had quite a posh accent (but not exaggeratedly so).

In my wilderness years I picked up a bit of a brummie accent when I lived in Birmingham.

Similarly, when I lived in London I picked up a bit of a southern accent.

When I speak to people from the south east or from Birmingham, my voice will mimic theirs.

Also when I speak to someone who is very well spoken, my voice will mirror theirs.

I have always assumed though that my natural voice, is a fairly well spoken English accent.

To my surprise however, a couple of years ago, my elderly brummie grandfather played me a tape of a small child with a very very strong brummie accent. He claims it was me.
