the bird showing me the cars tonight was more flirtatious than the fakin lap dancers. Christ on a bike. If Im ever going to get that car out of the car park on the test drive, im going to need a stiff drink first.

I've always thought that way myself tho, I find all the English lads I work with are obsessed with owning things tho? I don't know what it is but down to a man they are so materialistic

=====================

that is very true, and it's normally things they cant afford.

it's not a trait that is peculiar to the English though.

there's plenty who have spent money they haven't got, and it's usually for status not for actual enjoyment.

tbf though, I can afford a nice car and I would have liked one. it is a waste of time for me to have one though so I might as well not bother.

Yeah well thinking about it that's true for Ireland too, it's just mad in my work our team is not a bit materialistic but the English guys are polar opposites.

I've never been that way myself I couldn't give a Fack what car a lad has.

Tell you a good one, my best mate gave up work and looks after his kid, so hes out of work and goes and buys a 1 year old Audi his woman pays for it she can't drive, she gets the bus to work and the car sits outside cos he has no money to put petrol in the thing
