- sharing technical knowledge with potential competitors

-made myself look a bit silly by being a bit carless with the wording in my last couple of posts

-generally pisssing a few people off



not sure how much business that's likely to generate tbh.

tbh it's not a big deal, i just ended up having to point out to a couple of big mouths that they didnt actually have a clue what they were talking about. they can swing for it so far as i care tbh.

I didn't go out of my way to show them up btw. they had a pop at my comments on the basis they thought they were better placed to comment on the matter. although I was careful to say that I am sure they are very competent in their areas of expertise, I really had little choice but to point out that my comments were right on the particular issue, and by implication that their's were wrong.

one of my ex colleagues appeared on the thread supporting my comments at one point which was a bit of a turn up !

we fell just short of 100 comments in the end, but not bad for a linkedin discussion
