I hate bale

King's finished.

posted on 28/2/12

No he isnt.

I dont hate you Bale. I hate Gareth bale, bale.

If he was dropped I reckon our team would play better.

No we wouldn't.

I don't think he's finished really but Sunday did go to show he won't go on forever. Usually with King in the team we look solid at the back. On Sunday we collapsed.

Bad game, or beginning of the end?

I think he just cant play against the better teams as much, but against the smaller teams he doesnt have to do enough to tire him out.

Which isn't good enough for the CL or top 4 is it Edin?

posted on 28/2/12

No not true, if he is well protected by the midfield and doesnt have to run too much he will be fine.

Plus if he played against all the smaller teams, he is almost always at 100%. Would love to have that for 5 games of the season, let alone 15-16.

Seriously, a defender in a top 4 and CL team that doesn't run too much? I know Walcott's pace would be a challenge for anyone but you've got to admit that sounds bad.

As I said on Messia's thread - we should tie him to the club for players like Caulker to learn from, and get him coaching.

Why should it sound bad? Hypia was an outstanding defender, yet had the top speed of a walrus. Its all about positional play and reading the game. He is good at making Kaboul get to stuff that he cant run to anymore.

he knows his limitations (and usually) commands from the back

posted on 28/2/12

Hypia was slow, but he was fit - he trained and kept himself sharp by playing every week. Ledley is a special case that I think we're in danger of being blind to because we love him so much.

I hope i'm wrong by the way, he certainly will never lose that instinct.

But imagine what a rival coach would tell his strikers to do against him now..

Maybe they will look to attack him, despite fearing him so much before.

I do think we need a new top CB, because as much as it pains me to say.

he is a liability.

posted on 28/2/12

Liability may be going to far, but yeah for sure he will be targeted by teams with pace.

Anyways, i'm off. Have a good one

posted on 28/2/12

I meant Liability by that he is always injured!

Not on the pitch, I would never go that far!

Bye

Fair enough - I was a bit surprised!
