Agreed.
Gary O’Neill has used Wolves to put himself in the shop window for big jobs at Tamworth and Solihull, with his exciting brand of suicidal defending and lack of discipline.

How dare he break the cycle of Pardew, Pulis, Moyes, Repeat

It’s goes further back than Kompany. I remember Jose of all people moaning about “schitt on a stick” football - one of the most hypocritical comments ever.
I’ve no idea why every khunt and his dog decided there is only one way to play and Pulis/Allardyce/Hodgson are dinosaurs. West Brom were shiete without Pulis, Bolton have sunk without trace without Allardyce and Palace could go down without Woy unless he is parachuted in again to save them.
Southampton are hilarious though, Hassenhutl was just about keeping them up despite some severe pumpings, some diqhead thought Nathan Jones could do a better job

I don't think so but I do see what you're saying to a point, I think on the Guardian pod someone was saying that Martin has selfishly put himself above the club by trying to line it up with his style of play, rather than being pragmatic and giving the club a chance.
Kompany was an amazing player though with a tonne of connections, who played under some amazing managers and I think Burnley actually played quite well in games.
Martin doesn't really have any of that so he's an idiot if he was hoping to fail upwards, I think he'll have to go to mid level Championship at best and rebuild his reputation.

no real concern for the future of the club they're currently managing

doesn't that sum up United?

Yes, Kompany should've asked Burnley to sack him
