I've thought the same.

It's a unique situation because he's a unique manager. He won't be sacked but I can definitely see him leaving if this carries on much longer. It will be amicable, a kind of 'moving on' for both parties.

For all the laughing at City I do sympathise with Pep on a human level.

His statue might be on hold, or does he already have one next to Goater?

He joined a Tinpot sports washing club for the money. I have little sympathy for him really. How else do you go from Barca to Bayern and then to City?

This is a guy who played out the last few years of his play career in the middle east though so I think it's blatantly clear what is his biggest motivation is.

Dont think Amorim was on anybody's radar 6 months ago.

If I was running a football club (which I have done) I would make it my business to have a plan B just in case your current manager blew his fuse.

A year or so ago I would have said De Zerbi would be a likely replacement for Pep.

Can't really think of anyone atm.

Yeah I would expect clubs like city to have that too. Very surprised if not, however maybe quite changeable given the up and down nature of managers careers
