I think if City lose their next game the owner then needs to seriously persuade Pep to have a break and install a temporary new boss till the end of the season.
Pep looks burnt out, very edgy and highly nervous to me and is making many eratic decisions regarding his team set up starting with no wingers today which was really odd and that's not the first time he's insisted on that type of selection.
City still have plenty of excellent world class players that a different coach comfortably gets them in the top 4 but at this rate under Pep City are looking like finishing in the bottom half but you can't just sack the guy although I know plenty on here wouldn't give a toss if he was fired.
So out of respect let him have a sabbatical and come
back next season or maybe he'll decide to call it quits
but City look a busted flush to me under Pep atm.

That could be very a very interesting move. Has something like that ever happened in top flight football before?

Probably not but I think if Pep is having some kind of mental crisis which his demeanour has suggested he might be suffering along those lines then a complete 6 month rest from the pressures of elite level football management would give him an opportunity to reset without the humiliation of being sacked which any other manager with his run of poor results would have had the old tik tak but I don't think anyone expected the wheels on Peps bus to come off like this.
