Sack Pep?

I don't see it.

For me City are in a similar position to Liverpool under Klopp two seasons ago. A number of factors led to them starting the season badly, and they needed a rebuild.

Klopp eventually adopted a system capable of getting results before the rebuild happened in the summer. Pep's not an idiot, but he hasn't had to deal with these factors for a while, and at the moment he's floundering.

The reality is that this City side are currently worse than last season, but better than their current position. I expect Pep to find a solution to get them through this season before a summer rebuild.

Not sure the comparison to us 2 seasons ago are quite right. We had basically no defence for quite some time. Not sure city can point to that level of injury , not rely on the excuse in the same way given the money they have spent and could have spent.

City without Rodri is akin to Wolves without Steve Bull in the 90’s.

Obviously Wolves didn’t spend circa £3billion on the rest of the squad though.

Let that sink in Boris.

We absolutely can, to be fair. All of our defenders have been out at some point and those that haven’t have been way overplayed as a consequence, that and in Walkers case in particular, time has caught up with them so they can’t cope with it.

No chance they'll sack him!

They'll just go out in January and spend 00's of millions on a couple of players.

Subject to the outcome of the ffp case.....City will be fine next season. Rodri back and £250m spent on the squad and they will be a threat again.

Only a relegation, huge pts deduction or transfer ban will stop them coming back next season.

Enjoy their current plight whilst you can as I highly suspect it won't last much longer than a season as I don't think the PL panel have the balls to relegate them even if they are found guilty.

They won't sack him.

If the court case findings are released and it's bad I do wonder if he will walk. The self face harmer isn't coping well with a squad not packed so tightly with riches. He's not used to it and is struggling to get a tune out of a leggy ageing squad. They'll spend a wad in January before the panels decision is released. Then there will be an appeal, and this sickening sorry mess will drag on for another year.

Pep will decide when to leave.

What this season has highlighted however is Pep's poor judgement with loyalty towards players. It's not a bad trait, but sometimes as a manager you need to be ruthless, look ahead even if players have won league titles, the CL, and know it's time to sell and constantly rejuvenate.

As soon as the transfer window is opened
Another fortune will be spent
City start winning again
Problem fixed

Apart from City fans, who actually cares?

For me the main issue is the recruitment, so that's the director of footballs issue not Peps. Current side has peaked with the treble, and 4th title win, if they got the recruitment right then some momentum could have been carried on, they haven't though and now that plus injuries have left the squad exposed, and the results now speak for themselves.

I would imagine those who commented here, including you, would have a vested interest?
