Go all out for Theo Hernandez. swap deal plus 20m with Udogie (young italian LB to AC Milan). Hernandez is a captain and best LB in world football for me. fear hes too good to come to tottenham but United are linked so we can compete at least.
Jonathan David from Lille to have proper rotation up top with Solanke.

We need a commanding big centre half
Fack knows who that is though but someone who can grab players and organise ….we have too many foot soldiers and no generals

A new goalie, given that Vicario is going to be out until March. Another CB given that both Romero and Micky are so injury prone.

I was going to say David. I know it's the French league but he has a very good record internationally too, to make you think he's not just a flash in the pan because of the league standard.

I'm surprised he hasn't been looked at by a big club already, he's been tearing up the French league for a few seasons. Maybe that could give a team like us a shot? Although he's bound to cost a lot of money and after we just got Odobert, don't know if Levy would be willing.

We need to start making top quality signings rather than punts and make do`s, that`s how you build a squad capable of winning the league,
Unfortunately that means paying the wages on offer elsewhere, which Levy doesn`t want to do, so we may as well all have zero expectations until Levy facks off.
But to answer the question, a proper all out no.6 with the mobility to cover the yards in midfield and a commanding CB capable of playing on either side.
The GK, LB, RWF & CF will have to wait.

A goalkeeper is a defo. We need one in 1st Jan ideally. I heard James Trafford might be an option? At 22 he'd be young enough to perhaps challenge Vic for a starting spot. You have to admit that even though Forster has made some howlers playing out, from set pieces we seem stronger than before. If we can get Trafford he has the chance to usurp Vic long term. Newcastle might have something to say about that though. Think they're also in for him. Plus he's from Carlisle. The draw of home (ish) would be more attractive to him than the bright lights of London.
For other areas it's hard to judge. At centre back I'd honestly like to see Phillips recalled and given a chance. More often than not we blow money on a panic buy and then realise that the answer was already on the club books - think Soldado/Kane. That said, with the way we train, it's not going to be the last of the injuries at the back for us. Micky's role will always see his hammy's go time and time again. So maybe we can't gamble on more youth.
One thing is for sure, Bissouma isn't the answer in the middle. Because we play such open expansive football, although he's brave, which admittedly does match Ange's style, he doesn't have the defensive instincts to deal with the transition when the full backs bomb on. We need someone in there that's happy to sit and mop up.
I think you're right about not expecting too much on the basis that things are looking a little precarious under Ange. Why back a man you're already thinking about sacking? If anything expect this to be more of a Louis Saha / Ryan Nelson type window.
I'm not on board with bringing another forward in. We're already heavily stocked in that area and you just don't get much bang for your buck in January. I'd rather stick with Solanke/Son rotation and wait for the summer.
It'll be very interesting how this plays out because Simon Jordan has an exclusive interview with Levy coming up shortly. If that's released as a puff piece on the backdrop of a disappointing window, the fans will go mad, and they've every right to go mad (that's an old commentator quote, for those old enough to remember - even that one is before my time).

Yeah it has a too good to happen feel about it. Everything says he'd be a good signing for us - consistent goal scoring record, young, we need competition on the right, Son getting on in years, would be something of a statement signing.
Yeah more likely to get a cheap, less established player.
Spurs are the top scorers in the Prem. So the one area that doesn't need strengthening as a priority is up front, even though Son has been abysmal this season.
Short term essential to bring in a goalie and CB in January.
posted 23 hours, 48 minutes ago
Would imgaine whatever we do will probably either be cheap and non impactful or some kind of loan. Remember its Jan, we are talking about ENIC and Ange isn't exactly covering himself in Glory. Hard to justify backing a manager who in his 18 months and 3 windows has lifted us to the dizzying heights of 11th !!

Potentially 13th after the next set of games. I mean Forest away in their form is not going to be easy. Our recent record would suggest another loss. But don't worry, we have injuries so it's ok.

I am certain Ben Godfrey is in on loan and it'll be one of Trafford at Burnley or mccarthy/bazunu at southampton.
If we lose to Forest we will have to pull off a stunning signing or ange has to go to deflect attention from Levy.

He is on an abysmal wage considering the goals he offers to Lille. 30k a week allegedly. it looks such an attractive signing with everything in place but i just dont see this getting over the line.
Talk of Godfrey screams bargain bucket to me even though he's strong and athletic and is built for Ange's system. I just cant see us making guaranteed starter signings

We really need a central midfielder, I’d rather we pay top money to sign 1 player of real quality than a few players.

Or it could be a win, and 8th. Why always negative stuff?

Poch had Chelsea in 13th last season at the same time, after spending seven more.

Can’t see us actually buying anyone… not when Levy can do a loan deal…
I’m hearing Godfrey & Trafford
Need the Paratici influence once again!
