----------------------------------------------------------------------

No

It's a foul and a yellow. The only reason the goalkeeper would be sent off in that situation is either no intention to go for the ball or excessive force.

He went for the ball and missed so it's a definite penalty and yellow

The amounts of times my nephew has done similar and opposition parents and coaches scream for a red

Don't think there are any?

Was it not the case that Rangers hadn't arranged any of the safety protocols in time so Celtic didn't give them tickets for the previous league OF?

"Wondered about tkts for Celtic fans at ibrox on the 2nd - didn’t see anything in media about this either way ? Anybody know ?"

I asked this question a few weeks ago. According to Ginger our allocation is a big fat Zero. I thought a truce had broken out and there was going to be a token allocation starting on January 2nd but apparently not.

You might have thought with finally getting a New Chairman and CEO, that might have been an opportunity to rise above it all and show a bit of class.
Unfortunately it looks like the Blue Baton has just been passed on and it’s business as usual?

“Should I just issue a statement about why they’re no gettin any tickets?”

We were meant to start the small allocation at the first OF game but pulled it when we asked for the confirmation of the safety works being completed in time.

Rangers still playing at Hampden and unknown delivery dates on steel work couldn’t give a guaranteed date. Hence we pulled the plug.

Rangers confirmed they’d reciprocate in the next fixture which is this one coming up.

I suspect we’ll find another reason for the third instalment but we will see

The onus will be on us and we'll want to give tickets because there's a good chance the last one at Ibrox could be a decider and a good chance Sky ask for it to be thus if the polis can grow a set.

Agreed. The OF ability for self harm and pandering to the LCD knows no bounds

Personally I don't lament the current no Away fans stuff.

Probably age and subsequent caution a major reason.

Haven't seen an OF League at CP in years I always give way to younger.

Haven't been to Ibrox in well over a decade.

Even then was with a Bear mate kept my mouth shut whole game.

On our overall performance I'm pleasantly relieved.

Said on here few mth ago we were heading into a busy mental period.

7 League games - 5 of them Away.

Euro midweek demands also taking their toll.

6 wins & 1 draw - much better than I thought.

Looked like we were turning a corner…..then he picks that team for the trip to Paisley and it all falls on its erse

If he can’t win the old firm on the 2nd……he needs to go

Rank rotten league points tally
No consistency in anyway, shape or form
Hasn’t laid a glove in any old firm yet

Managers have been sacked for way less than this in the past

Big problem on here today. Heed has put up a good guy of the year thread but has, presumably, forgotten that we also need a good guy of the week thread for this week. What are we to do?
Will someone pleasd remind him as I'm filtered ?
There's probably a queue of people waiting to post and currently quite distraught.

What is the point though, Stevie? He might be a baldy Beale but bottom line is he's been in the seat during a necessary contraction and that is scheite to be blamed for that.

Whilst directors are still bailing out the club with confetti conversions albeit at reduced share prices they remain at ambitious levels compared to open market transactions that are taking place around 5p. That values the club around £25m and a buyout - which would have to be at a premium to that of course - might be your best bet? The owners directors can still turn that around but they won't spell out how many years of pain it will take to achieve an enhanced value because it won't go down well.

Ironically, Ashley was well on the way down that path and if it wasn't for the greed of King wanting to coin in himself and stoking false fires against SD you might have been in a better place. Both are a pair of cants that just wanted a quick buck but didn't know how to do it without hubris but it remains amusing that the latter has really facked it and is reliant on the board he briefs against to recover any of his second £20m loss. Successful businessman my erchie.

Cups and Europe don't matter aside from minor bragging rights. The league is the crown jewel and our gifting you of one has only made your struggle worse. You might not see it that way but in hindsight, from a business perspective, it was probably the worst outcome.

You might disagree with this assessment. Other fans might cling to some CA compo impact even if the facts don't support that being material. The reality your title winning chances short to medium term are based on us facking up again. Hopefully we have learned not to entrust the most important role in a certain type of character for that role.

For you lot, you need to sell whoever's form is high when you get the chance. Do so every window and you might just claw your way back eventually? Another risk is some super league thing and only one team getting an invite which would likely end any notion of equality.

Happy New Year.

The job of a Rangers manager for the foreseeable future is to maintain their position as the second force in Scottish football and deliver the occasional trophy when Celtic slip up.

Clement has shown that he's capable of doing that so it's pointless to replace him in the search for more success.

Replacing him with a manager who could play a more stylish brand of football might be a good move but not financially.

"Rangers avoided ‘expensive mistake’ by hiring Clement"

https://www.footballinsider247.com/kieran-maguire-rangers-avoided-expensive-mistake-by-hiring-clement-as-manager-wage-revealed/

I assume being committed to paying him so much money may be a part of the board's thought process. Question they have to be asking themselves now is he gonna cost them now in failed price money and match day spending?
