He's our PL top scorer. Joint with Bruno on 4.

So that's basically everyone really isn't it? 😂

When you give the ball away more than 30 times in a single game (Bruno) or refuse systematically to pass the ball to your striker, preferring to take a shot from impossible angles (Rashford) your influence on the team is negative even if you score goals from time to time. Since these two players became essential starters, we have conceded more goals than we scored, which rare in the history of Manchester United. Moreover, show me one single striker who thrived next Rashford, and one single midfielder who thrived next to Bruno.

Nobody would thrive with any of our forwards pal. Bruno and Rashford have been the best of a bad bunch for a while hence why they are still here and got the contracts they did.

Mount Hojlund Zirkzee and Antony are not better than either of them and never will be. We've bought so terribly that they are genuinely still two of our best players even now.

It's quite incredible that sacking Ten Hag, hiring Amorim, then sacking Amorim would cost around £30-£35m. All in the space of a year.

Not that I want or expect this to happen. But just to compare, cancelling Casemiro's remaining 2 yr contract at the start of the season would cost that amount. That's just one player on a fat wage.

The idea we can offload players by buying out their contracts is just completely unrealistic. It also explains why changing managers in spite of the money being spunked doing so, is seen as the "cheaper" option.

Feck Rashford, he’s lacked effort on the pitch for too long. Time to move on.

Buying out contracts is unworkable in days of PSR / FFP.

If a player is earning £10 a year and has 3 years left to run then that £30m would all go into one year's worth of accounts. So basically never going to happen.

No we are absolutely shafted now for a good few years.

In the summer, Maguire, Eriksen, Lindelof, Heaton and Evan's contracts expire and we save around £30m a year which can be used elsewhere.

They exploited a loophole which is now closed. It can only be spread over a maximum of 5 years now so don't expect anymore 7 year deals to happen.

Fair play to them to actually read the rules and get creative.

High wages can be a problem only if the player is deemed not good enough to deserve his pay.

____

Rashfords high wages arent a problem for Rashford. He signed a long term contract with MUFC so they have to be paid to him. Unless he is willing to take a paycut elsewhere.

Hojlund is a better finisher than Rashford.. He just doesn't get much service. When you're wide forwards are taking more shots on goal than the central striker then there is an obvious issue.

Doesn't really matter how long the contracts are if the players are good enough. Personally I thought Chelsea took a massive risk which could've completely backfired and they could've been stuck with a bunch of duds they couldn't shift because of their wages. It really does depend on the quality of business you do in terms of thd player, and having ppl responsible to make the right call instead of being completely inept, as we are finding out.

Thank you. The fact that most of Hojlund’s goals last season were “unassisted” says it all.

To be fair, he's been poor for a long time and for a senior and academy player, it's not good enough.

I would also be looking to get rid of Bruno.

Id be looking at getting rid of all of them, if thats the case. Rashford and Bruno are not the only ones who need specifically looking at. But because they are Uniteds two best and some of the highest paid players they seem to be more of a target. Rashford has been dropped recently but things are still crap and getting worse.

posted 12 hours, 2 minutes ago

Nobody in this squad is unsellable for me. Not even Amad. What we've done with him is turned a fairly decent player who isn't particularly special and already made him into our new saviour. We've done this several times before with other players as well.

If big offers come in for Rashford and Bruno then I'd take them too. I'm just not foolish enough to believe that will make us a good team. The evidence is there for all to see right now that when they don't play we actually get worse. So if they are sold we better pray their replacements work out or we really are in trouble.

Mainoo was our midfiled saviour a year ago. He also gets a hard time now on social media from the haters these days.
