A lot of negativity during and after....

Sheff Utd, Burnley and Sunderland are not Leicester, Southampton and Ipswich. I can't see us not getting top 2.

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

I think the initial reaction of course is to be disappointed...

but I think when most of these people got home, or woke up this morning a lot better... we're top of the league, had a great Christmas period, not sure what's to be negative about..

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

Nope. Picked us to be champions but am disappointed by farke at some point of nearly every game.
Don't think I could do better that's for sure 😁

Ok, honest question deserves an honest answer … I think it’s still too early to call imho … sure, it would take a bit of a downturn in our form for it not to happen (finish in top 2) but this is Leeds we’re talking aboutπŸ‘πŸ˜

I mean it's leeds so I wouldn't vbet my house on it, but I'm confident we will have enough to see us over the line.

I'd like to see us sign a ten, as I don't want to see us have to square peg it if he got injured.

Other results helped to soften the blow and the disappointment of the draw yesterday. I suppose like many others seeing how we often seem to find a way to implode when everything is going our way, I am crossing my fingers that it does not happen again.

The saving grace this time around is that no team is running away at the top like Leicester and Ipswich did last season. If we can repeat our performance in the second half of the season and not collapse in the last half dozen games like last time we should go up.

I think we’re going to win the league.

We are brushing aside the bottom half teams home and away. We have beaten Sheff Utd, should’ve beaten Sunderland and lost to Burnley due to a slip. 3 losses have all been close games we could have got something from.

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

We are 1/25 on to win promotion.

Thats what the gambling markets think about it.

Am just disappointed, we havent had thread after thread about, how we need to sign 10 players.

we have got 28 points out of possible last 30 at home πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ

I honestly dont know, what people expect.

We didnt play particularly well, didnt test the keeper enough first half.

But literally week in, week out, we are playing against teams who are just parking the bus, and hoping for best.

LIW.. Totally agree,

tslufc.. "The saving grace this time around is that no team is running away at the top like Leicester and Ipswich did last season"...

I might be remembering this wrong but Ipswich didn't run away with anything did they? - they deserved to stay up but I can't remember then that far ahead of us for any of us to write top two off?, a lot had Leicester to win it in November tbf, but never Ipswich? - also, do we have more points this season? - I could check these things tbf

How many people out there play darts or pool?..

Reading stuff on social media is better than reading the Beano at times, we've been long odds on to win the league since October and all season we have been without key players for 3/4 games at a time yet we are still 3pts clear we are the best team in the league by some way and come May the table will reflect this,

It doesn't matter who ran away with what last season, the league finished with 3 teams at the top that any other season would have seen all go up, Ipswich did great in what they did, but Leicester?..

Credit where its due, they were champions but looking at the 14 point lead they once has says we were better for pulling it back, but yep I now, that was our dumbass players at the time for with injuries and whatever else letting it slip!..

But if the league had gone 3 games longer we more than likely would have made it!..

But hey, that was last season not this, and a lot have said over and again we have the best team in this league, but looking on here daily you wouldn't think so!..

Light

so 52 points would be second (ish), or at the very least Ipswich maybe a couple of points ahead?

I think it was the phrase "saving grace", that hooked me in on from tslufc. saving grace makes it sound like we're not doing that great, and we're lucky it wasn't last season to me..

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

Yep, I think this season vs last season is chalk and cheeseπŸ‘

posted 2 weeks, 4 days ago

"Should" doesn't always mean "will" with this club, as we're all aware. We definitely have the best squad. But i'd still like to see us buy a striker & offload Bamford & Gelhardt.

And all the above said the same last season

🀷🏻‍♂️ whats your point.

Different season, different teams

We create the most chances and best in the league.

We concede the least chances in number and quality.

We are top on every metric.

We have the most points overall and the most in the recent form table.

And I bet it’s a struggle to find a total of 90 mins where the opposition have been on top from all 25 games so far.

I get that sometimes it’s not edge of the seat stuff but there is always another team on the pitch you know.
And this season we have been freakishly dominant.

Bookies base odds on betting patterns but also on the data. A lot on the data. And that’s why we are so far ahead in the betting.

I’m not really sure what more people want.

There’s no way that we aren’t going to drop points. No side has ever not dropped points.

Mistakes will be made. Subs will make us worse. Players will have bad games. All this happens at the top of the prem, it’s obviously going to happen more in this division. Amazes me how many people seem to be shocked we ain’t as good as Liverpool.

Every manager in the league has said we are by far the best team.

It’s really difficult to argue anything other.

I wouldn’t at the odds available but if someone wants to give me evens on automatic promotion I will lump on

Now imagine if we lost 2 and drawn 1 of the last 3. Or had just been help at home by an awful stoke side. Yet these same people have no doubt they are better than us.

A lot of it comes across as attention seeking tbh.

Yesterday's performance was a stinker plus our ability to fold when push comes to shove doesn't fill me with confidence.

Unbeliavable, really.

A stinker, yet completely dominated.

One team wanted to try to win the game, the other just played the %s and hoped for best.

No other team is playing against a parked bus every week, like we are.

Not easy, need that bit of luck early on or something special like against derby.

Some of the tactics by managers are an utter disgrace, especially when they are at home. Would never get away with it at Elland Road.

Thankfully, these type of tactics rarely work out over a season
