At this stage everything Ange says, sounds like an excuse.

Maybe just play the kids.

Also, when you sit in 11th place, it does reduce how much you care. We're not gonna go down but equally we're probably not gonna qualify for Europe. It all feels very 90s. I don't think I've been so numb to watching our league games probably since games became more widely televised. The last time we were this shiiiite football just wasn't on as much.

I'll be honest, I barely celebrate goals anymore. What's the point if you know the opposition will score or, more worryingly, the result is of little consequence.

I'm just very bored of this club with this owner.

Theres more chance of Spurs finishing Top 4 than there is of us beating Liverpool over 2 legs We could easily be looking at a double digit aggregate defeat if Liverpool can be bothered

I guarantee that you will if we lose and lose badly.

I don't foresee any good outcomes in the next 3 games and bound to be a lot of goals conceded. Ange will be off the hook no matter what though according to some fans.

Totally get that. I'm just banking on Liverpool playing a second string which might give us a sniff. Truth is though that even if we were to scrape a win at home, they'll play the big guns at Anfield in order to turn it around.

Maybe Europa is our best bet?

I don't think there is a "best bet" everyone knows how we are gonna play & we aren't very good at it. Spurs will get beaten by anyone half decent with tactically savvy manger..... makes no difference of its in the league or a cup.

I think there's some weird polarised debate around who is to blame for Spurs current woes. Ange is either great and having to deal with Levy's penny pinching or Ange is the problem, leave Levy alone. Putting illness aside, is it not possible that they're both wrong, particularly for each other?

You have an owner that likes to operate with more frugality than any of the rest of the top six and a manager that plays fantasy football that will only work when you've got the very best players. Don't we need someone that understands that lower budgets require a little more pragmatism? Or, don't we need an owner that needs to spend a little more to facilitate Ange's style of play?

I think they're both wrong for us right now but that's too depressing to think about I guess. No one is ready for the abyss we're currently heading into.

I'm aware of this, but it is also possible to have an opinion on a teams performance based on the most recent 12 months. We are able to see if we are progressing. I think its quite the opposite.

Newcastle were in 12th position not so long ago.

Hopefully we can get back on track soon although January is going to be a tough month.

100% and the idea that we'll stop gifting the opposition chances once our players come back is a total nonsense. We were routinely giving away chances when they were fit so that won't change. Part of the reason we didn't concede as many early on is because the opposition were really wasteful. That's not happening now. Beat our press and it's like a knife through butter and that's a tactical issue.

Ange just needs to get a trophy over the line. A mid table finish and any trophy would be fine with me

Newcastle have had better form than us though for a lot longer. 9 losses and 18 wins for them since end of Jan last year. 16 losses and 15 wins for us.

Fans are hoping that once all our injured players return that our form will suddenly pick up but it didn't do this last time when our injured players returned after that Chelsea game.

Yeah, I just don't believe we're playing even remotely well enough to win a cup. It would take a huge slice of luck and a favourable draw to do so. We've got more chance of winning the FA Cup or Europa League than winning the League Cup, even though we're through to the semis. That's how much I rate our chances against Liverpool.
