Maddison is rightly a sub. He is a luxury player that only turns up 1 game in 5.
Spence and Gray have done well. But there is no fluidity down that left side with both having the check back inside on their right foot.
Bissouma I agree is a liability. We’d be best selling him and finding a proper midfielder to control the middle.

Where was the marking for Gabriel at the corner. Should have had TWO men on him front and back because the world and his wife knew what Arsenal would do and what would likely happen and it did.

At least maddison will try get on the ball. Why not try him LW like Leicester & even England used to do, especially with Son in this state/form & Werner as the options?
RE corners - you know what, overall i can’t even blame them too much for the gabriel goal because how many fking corners & free kicks did we wanna give away? we defended most of them well, but our braindead players kept giving away stupid fouls/getting pressed from the back and giving away corners.
Again, goes back to purpose of tactics to try mitigate opportunities to make mistakes. We didn’t do that

Whilst he might not have the ball carrying abilities of Biss, he'd be a hell of a lot more solid. Give the lad a chance in his favoured position. God knows he deserves it.

Yep, him and Kulu are the first 2 names on the team sheet for me. Bentancur would be the 3rd as he will fight for everything.
A fit VDV makes it as does Udogie and a fully fit Sarr. After that it’s slim pickings.
It’s a sub standard squad with a sub standard manager.

We should be all over Liam Delap in the summer - Richy can go wide left, Delap and Solanke can compete in the middle. Kulu wide right with BJ make sub appearances. Odobert, Solomon, Moore, Hyuk can all play back up. I would move Son on.
If we could get good money I’d sell Maddison. Gray, Sarr, Bentancur and Biss for CM. 2 AM’s needed.
Sell Romero, Dragusin and Porro. We have Vuskovic coming in and Big Ben for one more season - we probably need to buy 3 CB’s though, plus a RB to compete with Spence and a LB to compete with Udogie.
That is a huge amount of work, but we’re going to be stuck in this rut unless we somehow land the next Fergie/Klopp

I’ve said it many times before the squad is full weak pussey players and has been for a long time. Yeah blaming the manager is one thing but the players I tell ya if you were in a fight you would not want the majority of of them standing next to you.
I honestly think most of the would run away first sign of trouble…… a reflection of what we see on the pitch.
