Incredibly sad news.

We halve loosed a real grate

A very sad day. As well as his incredible artistry and imagination, he seemed like a good person.

Mulholland Drive is one of my favourite films. Love Blue Velvet and INLAND EMPIRE as well. Twin Peaks rocked my world when I first watched it, and does so again every time I rewatch it. I actually like the film. It has very little of the series' humour but all of its darkness and intensity, and then some.

A genuine, proper and all too rare talent.

We need more such folk in the creative arts.

Sad news. Achieved so many good films in his career.

I particularly liked Eraserhead, Wild at Heart and The Straight Story. Totally different styles but all great.
