Surprised Amass hasn’t been given some minutes given your options at LB but I guess the cup draws haven’t exactly been kind to Utd.

Preston of the Youth Alliance League North in the FA Youth Cup fourth round tonight, Dazza.
I'm out for a curry and will miss it, but I'm legitimately scared for Preston. We might well see the game's first 90 minute-long highlight reel.

The staff are apparently (and understandably) a little concerned about his size and strength. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go out on loan before the end of the month.

Robbing, I just don’t think Amass is up to the physical demands of the prem yet. He’s really small and skinny.
Though that could potentially be an issue with many of these talented lads getting in the first team soon. From what I can gather they’re very, very gifted footballers but not elite athletes yet.

Based on the academy players who have been called up to the senior squad, I think the management is mindful of the need for youngsters to be capable of competing physically as well as being talented.
This is critical to Amorim's football, and I guess the lack of athleticism among the senior players makes it all the more difficult to accommodate a youngster who isn't able to play at PL intensity levels.

Wouldn’t be a surprise to see Mantato get games at wing back before Amass.

Him, Godwill and Obi look the most athletic from that group.

I was really hoping that Diego León‘s middle name would be Juan (like most Paraguayans) so that we could look forward to seeing Obi Juan Kukonki on the pitch.
But disappointingly, it’s Basílio. (Although that does set him up nicely for a Basílio Faulty pun every time he facks up.)

Let’s just bring back Juan Mata.

Lacey specifically but you’ve a couple of others. You’ve a Russian lad murdering it at that level too.
------------------------------------------------
Lacey's near constant battle with injury may prevent him from ever playing at any decent level.
Ibragimov is very impressive for somebody that age but he is only 16 and is probably a way off yet from getting a sniff of the first team.
Mantato and Jayce Fitzgerald are two of my personal favourites. I would love it if both were able to showcase their ability at a higher level and get a chance in the first team.

Could you see Mantato being the left-footed RWB Amorim wants, playing Quenda to Amad's Trincão?
It'd be fun to watch Amad and Mantato teaming up.

Mantato could play on the left as well. He started out at left back and still plays there for the England youth teams.

I don't want a right footed left wing back or a left footed right wing back. I want us to have more natural width and the overlapping option.
Nuno Mendes for LWB please. Move Dalot over to RWB and buy someone who can compete for the role with him.
