we can play with what we have got , if we had full strength team we will hammer you ,like we have always done but
parthiv and gambhir opening in india is a big no no , neither is a big hitter , india r missing power hitters at the top and a no 6 destroyer in yuvi whose bowling is veryuseful in india , selectors should have picked robin uthappa

excuses in early this time.

But we played your full strength team at the last CWC and it was a tie.

And we are hardly packed with international experience.

"if we had full strength team we will hammer you"

Early excuses? Also, please explain...

well similar teams played in 2006 india won 6-1, similar teams played in 2008 indian won 5-0

thats my evidence behind hammering

posted on 13/10/11

I see, would it be possible for you to post the line ups so we can compare how similar the teams are cric fan?

@But we played your full strength team at the last CWC and it was a tie.

but we won the world cup and you strolled home with empty hands and used fatigue and blah blah as excuses

posted on 13/10/11

It will not be like that this time. We are not the same team.

@spurs
go to cricinfo and check

cricket-fan - what were your excuses for the 8-o hammering in England then?

"go to cricinfo and check" I just thought that you may have some base for your argument as you came up with such a silly one. I'm sure the teams were nothing alike & you are just making early excuses.

Cook
Kieswetter
Trott
Bopara (perhaps)
Bairstow
Patel(probably)
Bresnan
Swann
Borthwick
Buttler
Woakes
Meaker
Finn
Dernbach
The above will be new since the last visit to India for a series.
That leaves Pietersen and Bell.

I think that everyone on here would agree that you're the only idiot on this thread.

Dear "Cricket-fan",

Perhaps you could refrain from calling other posters idiots and show some respect as you so chose to lecture on recently - cut and pasted text below and link provided.

"why dont u guyz get a relaity check , england used to be my second team now i hate england and english cricket the most, learn some respect"

Always good to have some context when engaging in banter.

13-1 is the score of the last two odi series in India.Dont you poms ever forget that .. this time the infirmary is a overflowing so it-should be competitive.

Thing is that, in the past englands batting has been the let down and Indian bowling was half decent. Now the reverse is true. England shouldn’t struggle with the bat on these wickets, and both teams have weaknesses in their bowling (swann apart). England bowlers have recently struggled in subcontinent pitches and the Indian bowlers are just rubbish. Full stop.

Also, the new rules will play a factor. Do you bring on your “main” bowlers after the 2nd new ball after 25 overs? Who bowls at the death then? Powerplays to be taken before 40th over is it? Massive decisions to be made, which have a greater potential to alter the game now.

I think England fans are being too modest personally. 4-1.

You're right but we have discussed that the teams have changed dramatically in the time gone since then.

13-1 is a pasting but at lease we won a game
